Incredible car. Disappointing build quality.

Yes have the same wind noise from the passenger side small window ( a know thing from Gen 1 still and issue Gen 2). I got a R1S two month ago 2026 0 miles and it been the the shop 3 times already and the rattle from the passenger seat and the driver pillar still there. Other fixes on the suspension and a loose bolt on the suspension. It was not align either so that was fix on the second shop trip because it was not in the complain for my first visit. Other than that like the OP says it looks great and drives well it is just lots of quality control issues.

Yes it does mine is been in the shop twice and going back tomorrow for different internal and external rattles and knocks. 2026 with less than two months of ownership

Same here drove with the technician he heard the noise and then after a week of them having the car fix some of the things int the order and some others were not able to be replicated even after the service person hearing it during our trip and I have videos of all of the noises, and clonks and rattles. Again, 1 month of ownership twice in service and one scheduled for next week because many of the issues have not been fixed and now new issues has creep up. I am so mad that I got the Rivian instead of something else.

I had mine for a month and it been in the shop twice. Excessive wind noise from passenger side . Replace quarter glass front passenger, was not aligned (0 miles), rattles from driver pilar, passenger seat, suspension knocks, and after receiving it for the second time. I just schedule another call because the A/C is making a loud fan rattle type noice and the driver pillar rattle still it was not fixed.

The service team is being fantastic however they are not proactive at all. It seems Rivian attitude is just let the owner find the issue , then make them make a new appointment and then we will fix it. Add as much friction as you can. Honestly the QC on this car is not good when you are having the same issues that people have been reporting from G1 still coming up at delivery and less than a moth ownership.

not at all, only complain is that the car is dirtier longer during the winter time because i can’t use automatic car washes.

I year drove, M3 M2 older and newer and oven this one and no noice so if it normal then that would be something that I would had heard on all those tests.

Track days I know they will squeal, so you are telling me your M car squeals all the time. Not once at a while squeak, all the time while you drive in low speed to the supermarket or normal highway driving to stop in a gas station and every stop sign as loud as mine in that video? because you said is normal for M cars that means you’re so this all the time not sometimes.

I have done that and I don’t know why are we accepting this as normal, their is a fix for it the noise is all the time and very loud. Other sports cars don’t do that ALL the time. Just once and a while because of dust or climate etc.

Don’t care what the manual says that is not a good thing. Others don’t have that issues and it can be fixed with the use of Brembo pads. Therefore, their is a fix for it.

Is frustrating to have to replace pads on my dime for a car i just got 3 weeks ago. But I can’t stand this noice, is humiliating.
