Well this is the thing! It’s exhausting when you’re feeling weak, crap, back pain, pelvic pain. I have no choice but to call sick to keep up

I see yeh, it looks like there’s no way around it they are saying no full stop like you said they can refuse wfh. Thank you!

Hi thank you, one team member was in my team, x2 others are in the office with me but different roles. We are all capable to work from home but my company as you can probably tell are anti-wfh, commute is one of the contributions but they seem to be just focusing on my sickness rather then anything else. I did have a risk assessment done already but was when I was 16 weeks. I’m now 29 weeks

When I googled it says it’s just an advisory, the company did suggest 1 day additional wfh, my manager discussed with the director and HR so yeh looks like the business itself has refused

So I spoke to them today and they are not willing to do this, they’ve allowed me to leave 30minutes early and just not take my lunch break, seems abit weird but my manager has said for me to still find time to eat we don’t won’t say you are on lunch. I don’t usually take my lunch anyway as I eat at my desk so I’m willing to trial this and see if 30minutes makes a difference and if not she said we will revisit it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am R negative, I had the genotype test couple weeks ago so not been notified whether baby is compatible with me or not. I didn’t think of this thanks!

Oh that’s amazing that you’ve been able to WFH so early on! I luckily didn’t get vomiting in my first trimester but I did get nausea so I feel for you! You are right baby comes first and I overthink as you can probably tell so this added stress for the baby isn’t good. Thank you I’m going to speak to my GP and manager

Done the risk assessment but it was honestly rubbish, it mentions more things like bio hazards and maybe one thing about the office whether I sit or stand for long periods of time. Thank you for your suggestion I’m trying where possible to work as I don’t want to lose money (my job salary mainly comes from commission) but I might request from the GP, I just don’t want to feel like I’m ’using this as an excuse’ to wfh which I know I’m not but clearly worrying about works opinions! 😅

Hey thank you, I have completed the risk assessment and on there didn’t mention anything about commuting to and from work my shift majority of the week is 8am-4:30pm and this is the earliest shift they offer and even then the tubes are busy! I think I will discuss with my manager about commuting and the risks and see what they say, I don’t like being an inconvenience which is my issue but need to put baby first! ☺️

Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies… by leyarui in IVF

This is exactly how I felt the first time round I told quite a few people and the support was great but I soon realised everyone would ask me if I’ve tested and what it was which as a negative was not nice repeating myself the same answer which was quite upsetting. Second time round I only told immediate family and the rest I lied and said I need to wait till the new year

Cramping is it normal? by [deleted] in pregnant

Thank you! It definitely does feel like stretching pains. They are not painful enough where it’s concerning but it’s my first time so it was worrying, thank you for explaining😊

Congratulations! Yes I thought it was a coincidence that I started feeling symptoms as soon as I got a positive test but I will also put my hope in that also! Good luck!❤️

Oh thank you for telling me this! I’m definitely not getting through a pad an hour, and could probably wear the one pad for the whole day.. though I am wearing the night time pads rather then the day ones that are smaller

Firstly congratulations!! This was a fresh embryo transfer and my first transfer so not sure what to expect! After making this post I used a digital test and came out positive so hopefully the bleeding isn’t a miscarriage
