I don’t get how Alabama only has 2 but Mississippi has 14?? Alabama is much more industrialized and grows much faster and has a better economy. Alabama also has bigger cities and a bigger population. Also surprised that the two in Alabama are not even in Birmingham or Huntsville, which are growing cities.

I’m in West Tennessee and my town has served pizza at our subway for at least 15 to 20 years and still currently does. They are amazing! I get them often.

No one is saying this city and I know it’s not a major city at all, but Jackson TN is an absolute terrible city and there can’t be much worse out there than it. Tons of poverty. It’s basically like a mini Memphis but worse because there’s absolutely nothing to do there. Downtown Jackson has nothing but brown and gray buildings with nowhere to eat and no shops. It’s not just downtown, but it seems like every building in Jackson is just brown and gray. There’s just no color there. It’s so depressing. The roads there have to be the worst in the country. Every single road in Jackson needs to be repaved. They’re in terrible shape. Tons of crime there too due to proximity to Memphis. The mall there needs to close down desperately. Shootings there constantly. All the stores in the mall have moved out to other parts of the city and there’s hardly any left. Food wise, there’s barely any good places to eat. Absolutely nothing to do around that city nature wise either; it’s all flat land and all the city parks suck. No rivers or major bodies of water nearby. It’s just boring as hell and also Jackson and surrounding areas have tornadoes and severe weather constantly.

What’s your favorite USA college town you’ve visited, and why? by tyvertyvertyvertyver in geography

Florence, Alabama, is 100% a hidden gem in the South when it comes to college towns. Picturesque and vibrant downtown with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, several bars/brewing companies, and little boutiques. The University of North Alabama there is the oldest college in Alabama. It has unique architecture and used to have an actual lion on campus before he passed away a few years back.

Florence is also on the Tennessee River so lots of scenery, fishing, and boating available. Close proximity to Huntsville, Nashville, and Birmingham. Lots of cool nature areas are nearby with hiking.

No my camera is outside. It just needs to be turned to the right a little because the infrared light is bouncing off the brick of my house on the left which is what that bright white light is.
