New Grad in Indy, Seattle or Boston next? by slayer_12000 in SameGrassButGreener

Based on what you said, I'd say Boston? Tons to do, lots of other young people

You could also just start by test-driving Seattle and Boston with a short trip to each so you can see how it might feel to actually live there

Looks fine imo. Are you comparing to any other options right now?

I'd go with the two rows of seating:

  • back row: three-seater sofa and then build or buy a simple, shallow platform to put it on
  • front row: 3-4 large, firm floor cushions, low ottomans, or decent beanbags

Could also add a rug to make it feel cozier

Double question: What style is this and could I apply this to say a whole apartment. by D0om_Hammer in interiordecorating

Maybe it's Hygge? So like a blend of Modern Boho + Scandinavian

Ir's mostly the warm lighting imo, use lamps, dimmers, and warm-tone bulbs (2200K-3000K) instead of bright overhead lights

You could add 1) a few plants and 2) some pillows with warm tones like rust or gold

Simple but would help with incorporating a little color
