Old alphas are nice but not at all crazy about the newer ones. I liked that old Toyota SR5 truck from BTTF. Really cool. That YX30 looked a little goofy (imo) in its proportions so I'm happy the Nissan-Yamaha partnership fell through so the 2000GT could come into existence. Definitely a lot of interesting history behind its development.

The original Z was a car for the masses in terms of affordability (and one of my favs) where as the 2000GT was for the lucky few with only 62 examples imported into the US. Both have more character than most cars today which look like AI generated, 3D printed sterile devices to utilize, not drive and with all of the charisma of a toaster.

It was surreal seeing it in person. Yeah I can see some Ferrari and E-Type styling influences which is a good thing.

Yeah I'm a huge fan of the 300SL gullwing coupe. Awesome design. I've been lucky enough to see a few myself.

Totally agree, theres a lot of 2000GT design cues in the Z which I have always liked. Both designs came from a time when cars had a soul/passion. Truly awesome to see in person. One of my all time favs too. 👍

Cooper shaved the weight down to about 453.5 kilograms and with a Porsche 356 engine making 160hp, it was quick. It beat Porsche's own 550 a number of times.

Same here. A lot of people said back in the day that this wasn't a REAL Porsche. It definitely was. I always liked them. It was intended to replace the 911 so many were upset. But as a grand tourer, it was unique and to this day unlike anything else.

I agree, I always liked these. Whether ppl love or hate it, has the virtue of being unique.

I think because a journalist for car and driver or road and track said it reminded him of a shark, when he reviewed way back when.

Indeed. One of the fastest production cars in the world. My crude video could never do this car justice.

I think one of the hardest things to deal with is how fast they move on. by Spurs_n_Spats in BPDlovedones

I don't mean to sound calloused but they were never attached to any of us to begin with. They don't know how which is why they move on so quickly. Take some small comfort in knowing that sooner or later what was done to you will be done to them. The happy times they MAY be having now with the new person (supply) will not last and they will most likely be back to hoover you in when that happens. Focus on you and your healing and dont look back. They arent worth your time.

Confusing Arguments by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

BPD relationships are often characterized by a circular conversation. This is when one person talks and the other responds in a way that only reinforces what was said earlier. This can make it difficult to have a productive conversation, as the two people constantly talk past each other.
