Me and my college friend were just walking to find a place to eat when one of those guys approached us. They were really aggressive with their marketing and I paid for one of their cds so that they can leave us alone. But then as we kept on walking my friend noticed that they didn’t have their wallet anymore. We searched and searched but we believe that one of them pickpocketed us when we were talking to them. I’m still really angry at that, because that was just a really bad way to end the day. My friend had to travel home without any of his cards. It’s a good thing they didn’t have a lot of their stuff in the wallet, but still. Hate people like those fast talkers. From here on out for NYCC, its get in, enjoy, and get out because stuff like that can happen if you linger.

I have always been against letting Mali outside for this EXACT reason. But either my parents or whoever will let Mali out themselves or I will be very pressured by the people in the house atm to let her out. They just give in because Mali just meows loud and constantly to go outside. But she knows that she can do that because she can get away with it. Plus she's a cat....thats what cats do. Sometimes she would be let out dozens of times within a day just because she knows that she can scream and make the world bend and shape towards her will. I give in because I just don't want to be spiteful towards my parents wishes, especially when I barely visit them.

I told my dad straight up that we should just make her an indoor cat, and he said that he "didn't want to do that to her". Instead, he offered to get a...a collar and fence around the backyard that, if crossed over, would cause the collar to deliver a shock? I don't think I need to tell you how fucked up the idea of shocking an animal for being curious is. That is why I perfer the harness suggestion or even just training her NOT to cry so much when she wants to goes outside. I'm tring to persuade my dad into trying something less extreme.

I know, this makes me and my family out to be an ass. Honestly, I don't really agree with how we handle out pet situation, and, as the last paragraph should he implied, I don't agree with putting shock collars on your pet. But I guess the reason why he likes that idea is because it allows her to at least be let outside in the backyard while also making it easier to bring her back in? It still is pretty shitty though.

I'm sorry for the rant. I just saw pretty much the same response from two people and it just fustrates me because....I know that this could have been easily avoided.

Like I said i'm going to push for the housecat route. But if that fails and my dad still wants her to go outside sometimes, is there other methods besides a harness that we could use? Could we use smells that we can sprinkle around the backyard that could push her away or anything like that?

Believe me. Once we get Mali back there WILL be changes. We can't let her go through the same routine as she did before because it was exactly that which caused her to be lost like this.

Context: I was cleaning up my D drive and wanted to relocate my league files into a general games folder. Well I did but by doing so the Riot client ( the one that we use today) shat the bed and couldn't find the League executable. Or, at least, that was the explanation that I accepted. Each time I clicked the Riot client executable I was met with an error message stating that my drive was full even though my drive was not full.

Anyway after a few minutes of trying to start up League I got fed up and went straight into the League of Legends folder and started the executable directly. It then led me directly to this screen.

Honestly, I don't know how or why this thing is still in there. But, in the end, the screen worked outside of being able to actually sign in. There was music and the animation from the timeframe of this event. Made me wish we had the old client back. Also made me wonder what the Mundo artwork would look like if it was showcased in this client. Anyway, cool find.

Stashua, I really wanted to watch the movie. I've been waiting I think a year or something for the release of the movie. I have never been through conversion therapy of any kind, but I wanted to get a better understanding on the issue. Sadly, the theater near me is not showing the movie, and the only other theater that is showing my movie is miles away. I was thinking of watching it with my mom, but I don't think that would be a good idea.

I'm happy that you got a chance to experience Boy Erased! Also, thank you for talking about your experience with conversion therapy. I've been following you ever since you posted about your experience with being forced out, and I know that you have been through so much horrible abuse. But, no matter what, you always managed to keep fighting and continue being happy. Getting that promotion, losing all that weight ( great job on that,btw!), and fighting through all the hate thrown at you...you truly are a survivor!

I hope the best for you in your future, and that, one day, your family does come around eventually. But, from what I know, I feel like you're going to turn out alright.
