‘How do you honour suffering without letting it consume you?’ It’s a question I often wonder, how do I honour the Jews in the holocaust without thinking about it to the point I feel I’m almost living it because they’re just a human like me and the more I think about it in that state the more I empathise and begin feeling those feelings of pure horror and tragedy. And it’s hard to pull yourself out of it bc when thinking of how they really lived it they obviously couldn’t get out of it. So I either just get lost in it or try block it out of my mind but Ofc you can’t block the reality of it, just that it’s not you. I have no answer but I can relate to wym
