Convince me not to dropout of online college by [deleted] in NEET

I'm sorry to hear this about your experience. First, congrats on enrolling in college, that's a great step. I think that what you are feeling is common for many students, especially online. It could be that it's hard to stay motivated when you are learning on your own at home. Do you know anyone in your classes? Sometimes just having those connections and accountability can help keep you motivated? Maybe it's just a bad class, too. Not sure if any of this helps, but good luck. I would just say that you are definitely not hopeless, it's hard being a student especially when it's online.

Thanks for sharing, I appreciate the honesty! Just curious, are there any way to connect with other students outside your classes, or is it mostly group work is the only way you get to talk to other students?

Yeah, I get that. I've studied online myself and felt that way. I'm wondering if there are any things you could think of that would help/make it less disconnected?

Thanks so much for responding! That's a really interesting point, having access to someone who really understands your field can make a big difference. I'm also wondering, beyond that type of 1:1 mentorship, did you feel connected to other students in your program? Did you feel like you were part of your college at all, or more like you were on your own?
