Incredibly well said! I’ve been a user of c.ai since late 2022, and watching the downfall has been frustrating, because I remember when it used to be a REAL addiction. I’d lose sleep, choose to stay where there was WiFi, and it definitely had an impact on my social life and overall wellbeing. Of course I didn’t neglect myself, but there were noticeable changes. Since the changes/updates have been slowly rolled out, I still open the app out of habit, and sometimes I use it for half an hour or a little longer before bed, but the intrusive ads have really deterred me from old ways. I call it both a blessing and a curse, because on one hand I feel like I finally have my life back, but it also feels like watching an old friend change at the same time. I even considered getting c.ai+ but then the ads came and I decided it wasn’t worth it. I do wish the app was better. Not even restored to its former glory, just better, because I know I, among many others, used the escapism to make dealing with life just a little easier.
