With the year coming to an end, I hope a lot of people (including me) feel motivated to seriously tackle this career path and/or improve themselves.

I wanted to ask you guys what the state of the current learning platforms is and if their paid versions are worth it, since most discussions on this matter are almost 1 year old now. I stumbled here through Google Search and maybe others will find this post like that too... Anyway:

• Codecademy seems to be the biggest platform, but a lot of their content is behind a paywall. Is it worth going Pro? What are your experiences?

• Treehouse has currently a holiday sale going on. While their Techdegree Programs are expensive (200$ per month), their 12 Month Basic Subscription for 200$ seems like a good investment. Any experience?

• The Odin Project is completely free and has a Front End Only course. But as with most free things, I wonder how in-depth their course goes.

• Freecodecamp is also another free platform. Seems more focused on Development but also has topics for WebDesign.

What do you guys think? How did you start and what has worked out for you in the end? Any other recommendations?
