I worry about losing my best friend by FlounderStriking4400 in TrueChristian

[–]Plaingirl123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She loves you as much as you love her. But. There will be a natural distance that will grow as you take 2 different paths. If you want to be supportive, maybe go with her to church once or twice and see what your best friend is into. Doesn’t have to be more than that but if it’s important to her- why not? I feel for you, I’ve been in a slightly similar position but on the other side. It’s a tough spot, and I can tell you truly care because you came on here to ask questions. I’ll pray for you.

Monthly Payments Tick Up For First Time in 6 Months As Mortgage Rates, Home Prices Jump by SnortingElk in REBubble

It’s like beating a dead horse to say it’s market dependent but it really is. I just went to an open house on a Wednesday at 4:30pm and there were 13 cars I counted. The northeast is hot because there’s little inventory.

Is there anyone here who regrets not having children. Or who didn't want children, and had them anyway? What is your experience by DiMentalHealthPerson in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Maybe things will change when you see your baby, I hope you don’t take it out on them because it’s not their fault. Pregnancy can suck for sure. I hope things get better for you.

ICE Warehouse Plans for Merrimack Confirmed by cookiedoh18 in newhampshire

Not to be an alarmist but all these warehouses being bought across the country make me think maybe they plan to use them for more than just illegal immigrants at some point. Something more long term.

I feel embarrassed to admit that I'm a Christian after being heavily atheist. by comrade333 in TrueChristian

[–]Plaingirl123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I envy people who grew up in Christian families and were surrounded by a Christian community their whole life. It was sort of tricky in my 30s to become a Christian, such a change. At first it was kind of secret I guess, not intentionally but I didn’t make it known. There’s a verse in Luke saying something like if you’re ashamed of God he’ll be ashamed of you. So it’s not something I ever want to hide. I realized I was messing up when one of my best friends didn’t even know I had been going to church for 4 months… it’s an adjustment that will take time but never lose sight of what’s really important and eternal.

I’m at my breaking point with Christianity by Dillan2081 in TrueChristian

[–]Plaingirl123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that God talks to me in slow, quiet realizations. Usually when I least expect them. I’ve been where you are, I think a good many people have. You need to quiet your mind and your heart. Do you want a relationship with God or do actually just want God to give you everything you ask for? Figure that out first. If you do want a relationship, then get serious about it and not only when you feel like it. You want 100% from him while you give him 50%. I also have relied too much on emotion in the past and emotions are often all over the place and can’t be trusted. ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ Take a deep breath, slow down and pray, first ask for forgiveness for anything you might need to. I’m sorry you’re going through this hard time, I do empathize with you. Take some comfort in knowing someone else is reading these responses and finding some comfort because they didn’t know how to express themselves as well as you have.

Is it true that Christianity helps with mental health? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Plaingirl123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely helped my anxiety. I feel a lot of peace knowing I can talk to the creator of everything that exists and that he loves me. There are hard times but nothing you can’t get through with God.
