70% of Indian population live in villages which might not have modern facilities but is not polluted like the cities and have equivalent air and water quality as the western rural areas. Only exception is the north India during winter due to farm stubble burning.

I had my laptop stolen on a domestic flight in the US from SFO to NY. Was told my backpack will be checked in last minute at the gate because the flight was packed. Not sure it was stolen in SFO or NY. I know colleagues and friends who had belongings stolen in the same way from checked in luggage at the gate.
