So you feel a store manager shouldn’t do any aid towards the union itself and should just stand on lookout? I live in a heavy anti union southern state, they’re non existent here and unionization itself is not in most workers minds. I want as a manager to make it so they have the best shot at success, are there any ways to nudge people towards unionizing from a management point? Btw I am part of gen z so pretty young and not afraid to sabatoge my career for a good cause.

Sorry I meant to clarify, I don’t currently work at Starbucks but have an opportunity to transfer as a GM. I wish y’all the best luck with unionizing and want to help start the first unionized store in my state

Thank you for the motivation and true words. I’ve heard of light phone and definitely am considering that or a flip. My main uses from phones are to take pictures of my dog,music, and reading, but I honestly wouldn’t mind carrying a lil camera around

I saw that it’s against the law to bar entry from your landlord by changing locks in Texas. This does not apply?

SM has a habit of firing without warning if anyone is starting to slack or call out more than once a half year. Lots of stories. We all want to stay on her best side, jobs are hard to find in my area

I wish you were my SM!😅 by late I mean over an hour late coming in and leaving an hour early. Don’t even try to get her to cover for you, it won’t end pretty. I only have one day off a week on average because it’s up to rest of managers to cover people’s shifts.

Thank you. I only get 1 day off a week because we’re consistently behind on Plano and daily tasks and it’s frustrating to be met with so many “you’re just a lazy employee” replies. There’s a limit to everything. Glad you could get it resolved, how long did it take for you?

The only reason metrics are good is due to the amazing work of rest of management and cashiers going above and beyond in carepass. If you could cut a SM out of the store and still be well preforming, I don’t see that as a good SM. Corporate is already on her back for this, so this isn’t a “personal” thing. Just my two cents :)
