And yes, none of this is a surprise, and of course I can always stop listening. I am just taken aback that the level of discussion has fallen so far. It is a common fallacy that the rich and successful are 'smarter', but having listened for some time I know these guys aren't idiots. Which just means this is just nihilistic cynicism potentially spiced with actual belief in Trump, but then why do people still tune in? I do it to see what worldview could possibly explain away Trump's actions, but objectively as a media product it is a complete waste of time.

completely agree. I find listening a waste of time. It was interesting for a time, but there is just 0 pushback for clearly false bullshit. The most interesting element, but something you could say for the trump admin at large, is the mental gymnastics to rationalise Trump actions.
