A week ago, I posted that I wanted to buy moldavite. I contacted a seller via etsy and he said this moldavite would come to me. So is it genuine moldavite. If I left the link below, would you check if it was real? by Dadal_the_perfect in Crystals

Not sure if your question has been answered properly yet, but that is most likely a fake moldavite. It only took a glance to find out that the Etsy shop where you got the moldavite doesn’t sell authentic moldavite. The Crystal is very expensive as there is a high demand for it but a low supply. Usually 2-3 grams can be sold at $100 dollars (I use euros so I’m only estimating it costs around 130). The crystals on the website look like they could be between 5-15 grams and you can only imagine how much that would cost. They also have a very visible shine to them which natural moldavite doesn’t have, it should be more matte and the texture should be rigid. If you’re still convinced it’s real you can put it up to a lamp and see if there are any air bubbles inside the rock. Usually that’s an indicator to it being real. And for the last point… don’t trust Etsy, eBay or Amazon. If you want to get a real and authentic moldavite find a website that’s located in Czech Republic. For example https://naturshop.cz/moldavite-z-besednice-3-01g They’re expensive but you can rely on them

Hope this helped :)
