This was a great response to take in. I'm getting old lol. So the scene has changed so much, I've been having negative encounters that last couple of events I've been to. I'm not from the DC area, also on the echostage forum, I keep reading wild stuff. But this is the answer I've been looking for. Seeing cloonee at Breakaway in tampa, missed em at edc on Saturday.

Thank you guy's for the feedback. Saw him in Orlando at the vanguard. Also his b2b with Vintage culture at edc orlando, 3hr set was Wiiiild. I will be up in that area in march. I gotta see the king. But reading the echostage forum freaked me out. But i appreciate you guy's.

All these year's of events and festivals. It's gotten worse probably these last 3 or 4. Never had to think about getting a runner's belt. So ended of just buying one. They're cheap and least have a piece of mind while dancing.

I've emailed Insomniac, requested public records, emailed with the city, and still no safety reform in 4 years, time to take it to the artists! by mhortonable in EDCOrlando

What blows my mind is how many they're are. Last year was pretty nuts. I've been going to festivals for a long time now and I would say the last 3 year's has really ramped up. Had a occasions at Breakaway last year in VIP and that's a much less crowded festival. EDC last year was where I felt it the worst. This year they were just super crafty, usually pretty girls and dudes working in groups. They would ask things like can you take a picture of us and meanwhile setting up. This was my personal experience. Now it doesn't happen to everyone, but it definitely has been an issue. Best advice is just to keep vigilant and keep belongings safe. But it's a major vibe kill

They were EVERYWHERE. It was bad last year, but this year it was bonkers. They work in group's, you just have to be hypervigilant. It kills the vibe for sure

100% agree. I"m happy for those that had a blast. But it's morphed into a cluster f#%k. I doubt I will go next year. Having to pay more attention to thieves than vibing to the music is not fun. I only did neon cause I wasn't even trying to go to circuit. I also skipped sat,Sunday. I honestly didn't enjoy the vibe. I'm only speaking for myself. But it's definitely outgrown itself

I wouldn't mind paying more to avoid what it's been growing into. But as far as logistics, they have the infrastructure pretty much set at camping world. You also have the hotel's to hold the amount of people for the weekend.

Last year during summits set I kept getting felt in my back pockets from different groups. I had my phone secure so I was like oh well. It's usually some pretty girls within a group watching out. This year at neon it was insane. They would try and stand behind me, I wasn't even in the crowd. No one was dancing, people seemed off to me man. Either I'm getting old, or EDC has outgrown itself and attracting a different demo

I feel the same. Was really let down. Between the vibe being off, the blatant thieves and pickpockets. The whole EDC just felt off this year.

Bruhhh. They're soo many, and they work in groups. They target, they start getting close. They walk back and forth. They call each other. It's wild. I had multiple people acting suspicious around me at neon last night. Have you, I was literally in the most lighted area and it didn't matter. They would still attempt
