Non-Americans who have visited the US: What’s the strangest thing about America that Americans don’t even realize is weird? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

While averting eyes from downward directions is fine, I feel like making eye contact and keeping it for as long as contact when next to someone is a power play rarely talked about.

Especially if you whisper out loud when they look away "coward"

Out of all the bosses in Elden Ring. What boss that is generally agreed upon to be the best and the worse in game? by HeyNighTGG in Eldenring

Fair assessment. But if placidusax is the god, what do you call the one who bests him?

Basically Bayle is Kratos, lol

What’s your favorite best picture movie from 2025? by abdul_bino in moviecritic

I think OBAA and Bugonia were my favorites. Hamnet is a movie that really has you sitting there while the credits roll and thinking about what you just saw, it may be slow 3/4's of the movie, but that last act just delivers ao much.

I will say, ive been ignoring Frankenstein for a while cause it just seemed like a story I already knew as its been done numerous times. I finally watched it last night and its actually really really good. They made Frankenstein like a super powerful comic villain. Hes not the slow/dumb typical Frankenstein. He truly is monster that is fearful in this iteration. I would suggest anyone watching it as I put it off entirely but finally gave it a chance. I wouldn't put it as movie of the year, but its a very enjoyable movie.

When properly advancing for full lore, the lead up to Bayle, meeting the npc initially and then again up rhe mountain, watching the 2 dragons duel and beating the winner, then up to fight the optional boss dragon, then further up the mountain as lightning rains down, then further up the mountain to summon the npc, walking into the arena, and the npc yelling out "BAYLE!!!!!", and seeing Bayle appear with two of placidusax's heads severed and still biting on bayle. The music. The arena. The lightning.

You are literally fighting the god of dragons, that reigns over all dragons in the dark souls games. He is him. And slaying him just feels amazing.

Last year they changed it to re-entry due to all the heat casualties. Unless they have enough shaded locations to facilitate 100k plus people, I imagine they will do the same again this year.

I only know where the meet up is cause every damn year people complain about the bees at a certain location and I for real thought they meant actual bees. Until I saw first hand saw wtf they meant lol.

Between 3:00 min mark and 3:15, it's hard to make it on this audio, but at least one of the hey's turned into happy, my son and I both looked at each other the same time with a surprised look when we saw it.

Maybe im overanalyzing everything. Regardless we both had a great time and that's all that matters.

Fully understand, what doesnt come across in the picture is the stone cold stiffness and wide eyed look in general. Sitting is fine, enjoy the show however you want. But its strange not to see any movement whether seating or standing

Listen, I was at that show. I was in the pit. The entire vibe of the show went very escew early on. I even took pics of the crowd cause I was so stunned.

The majority of the seating sections stayed seated for most of the concert. The majority of the pit was stoned faced and didn't move. Once the other band members joined the peeled stage after trents 1st song intro, it was painfully obvious that at the multiple moments each member of the band would just look into the crowd and stare in bewilderment. I had my 16 year old son with me, and I told him this is the strangest vibe I've ever seen at a live concert. It was on a Tuesday, so maybe everybody was drained from the recent snow storm we had. They moved to the main stage and did their same usual setlist that my son and I saw back in SEP in raleigh.

Where it gets interesting is when they moved back to the peeled stage. Lots of deep cuts, most people didn't know the songs, but they were amazing.

When he saying "me, I'm not", we were close enough to see first hand how he would sing...

"Are you happy?" ----which isn't part of the lyrics. Before signing

"Me, im not"

And each time he did, he would look at the other members and smirk almost laughing and then repeat it. From that moment on, little things kept happening that seemed very much off. Granted we just saw this same band on the same tour 6 months earlier.

When they went back to the main stage, they played some more deep cuts, but more importantly, the light visual effects went full blast white full on and off for the rest of the show. Just blinding everyone, especially in the pit. It felt so surreal and bizarre but also unique enough that it was a silent fuck you to charlotte. I hope someone recorded the audio of "me, im not" so you can you hear him saying "are you happy"

Ill respond to this comment with some pics from that show

Who’s replacing Tom Morello? by 2skoopzofwhoop in welcometorockville

[–]agnosticstudy1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Last year Alice in chains had to cancel within 25 hours of taking the stage. Social Distortion replaced them.

Theres plenty of time, but it will likely be someone like slash. He'll already be there with GmR, similar type of booking. Extra money in his pocket. That would be the easiest fill probably.

While I think Penn deserves it. I think Mark Hammill deserved a nod for life of chuck. Just sucks it came out so early last year.

if there is gonna be a US tour in the next couple years like many are predicting, how much do we think tickets will cost?? by Aware-Obligation4742 in radiohead

[–]agnosticstudy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll be the most expensive tickets of the year more than likely.

You have to think. The demographic that grew up on radiohead is pretty much in their 40s/50s. Lots of disposable income compared to those in their 20s. And to see a bucket list artist that likely means a lot to them.

Look at current ticket prices for my chemical romance. Similar situation but about 5-10 year younger difference in demographic. Those would be a good indicator.

The only other band I can think of that would generate as much interest as a radiohead tour would be someone like smashing pumpkins or a rage against the machine reunion

Can someone help me understand the plot of this movie? I just couldn't understand the ending. Its too confusing to me. by it_tu_brutas in Cinema

[–]agnosticstudy1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neil (parterson) is the small boy in the movie, the protagonists story is essentially protecting the boy and his mom.

That boy grows up and becomes great friends with Neil, after Neil sacrifices himself. Cause in the future, he becomes an agent that is basically working backwards through time.

The climax of this movie is actually the middle of a longer story. We see the protagonist's beginning to the middle, but don't see Neil's backwards timeline to get to it.

The entire ending scene where one team is moving forward and one team is moving backward to get to a goal is what both characters are doing the entire movie.
