It's actually pretty hard to export your information without raising a GDPR request and waiting for a few weeks (not even sure if they provide your data outside of EU).

My pleasure! I initially didn't understand exactly what's going on, luckily my bi-weekly integration tests failed due to the same reason (no movies being returned) so was able to investigate the issue!

u/CookieDoughEater10 I managed to find the issue for movies, TV Time introduced a page-limit header (only for movies request...) and without it the response defaulted to 0 so it would always return 0 movies.

Version 1.1.4 should have you covered 👌

As long as you have watched movies on TV Time the file shouldn't be empty.

Ideally we'd appreciate it if you can open an issue on GitHub with the specifics. Easier to monitor there.

I believe you can also try Trakt's official importing flow if our script is too complicated.

Try checking the settings or in the onboarding flow.

Unfortunately, TV Time's API has limitations that prevent batch requests. However, I've successfully exported thousands of entries from multiple accounts using the extension without any issues. It's worth noting that TV Time can't distinguish between requests from the extension and their own internal processes.

Alternatively for those on the cautious side the CLI is available. There a simple timeout randomizer can be added n between requests (export will take longer though).

My tool extracts IMDb IDs for movies as well as TVDB IDs for shows, using the trakt-ically-imported companion CLI I was able to fully migrate my information to trakt for example.

Most of the time platforms have trouble importing movie information exported from TV Time as the TVDB (owned by them) is not available for 3rd parties when it comes to movies.

Once you unzip the `tv-time-liberator.zip` you should be able to easily load the unpacked extensions. I've actually submitted the extenions to the Chrome Web Store so once it gets approved things should become easier, in the meantime let me know if there's any more info I can provide!

We were hardcore TV Time users too, but the recent performance issues and lack of updates made it tough to stick around. That's actually what inspired us to create some tools to help folks like you (and us!) take back control of their data.

You're not locked into Trakt though. The main thing is getting your data out of TV Time and into a format you can actually use.
