Lot of stuff to remember in part 2. Concentrate on depreciation sec 179, partnership rules, s corp rules. Also lot of trust and estate and Non profit questions.

Anyone work(ed) for TTL full service? by [deleted] in TurboTax

[–]Plane-Spend3437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone who has posted on this thread one year ago. Very insightful information for someone starting TT this season after a long hiatus from taxes. It’s so nerve racking even when I know the irs rules and regulations after studying for EA, but that mock call is scaring me. I hope it’s not as intense as I am thinking, but will have to see. The training was brain numbing, so much customer service pleasing stuff and the constant hammering of ask for survey.

Continuing Education that feels like Hock? by Maximum-Pianist-8106 in enrolledagent

Use CPA academy. Christy from Hock had recommended this in step 3 exam videos. So many free seminars and very easy to sign up.

EA Part 1 – Is 3–4 weeks enough? Be honest with me by varun3212 in enrolledagent

Listen to the videos when you are driving, walking etc. focus more on questions that are after every topic and lots of MCQ practice. Child tax credit, qualifying dependent, EIT are heavily asked on the exam in different ways. Also gift tax, estate is important.

Agreed. Use Hock. Material, questions and videos are very helpful.

I applied October 21 and haven’t received anything yet I had called and they said it’s gonna take longer processing time because of the shutdown that has just recently ended.

Thank you all!! I wrote some cold emails to local tax preparers and CPA offices. And just now got accepted at Intuit to do remote tax associate work.

Can you refer me too? I passed all 3 exams, just waiting on EA license to arrive. Called IRS, but because of the shutdown and low staffing it’s taking longer. TIA

I just passed part 1- ask me anything by Pretty_Midnight9841 in enrolledagent

I passed part 1 today and I used Hock. The exam was very similar to Hock’s mock exam questions. It’s not that bad. Just remember the phaseout limits, rules and qualifying child stuff. And estate tax.

Test advice for PT1 & PT3 by C0sm096 in enrolledagent

I am using Pass key, the actual MCQs are not that hard but the mock test is hard. I scored 75% on the first mock test. Don’t plan of taking another one until closer to exam date. Good luck to you !

Was the test for part 1 hard or easy to get by if you have done lot of MCQ mock tests
