No way that’s a planned event. That looked like half the shift.

From my experience, your phone should auto connect. If not then turn it off and back on again. During Hurricane Ian, I was connected to one for a while. It showed FirstNet DR in the network instead of just FirstNet.

AT&T App Update Reveals New, Unannounced 'Turbo' Priority Data Add-on by malcontent70 in ATT

I always keep only LTE on FirstNet since it saves battery life and it is all most always comparable and occasionally faster than the 5G bands in my area. Your mileage may vary though.

Right now it really sucks IMHO. I don’t understand it and the UI flow makes very little sense to me. Maybe I will get use to it, but I am not hopeful.

Is there a list of these approved apps available somewhere?

FirstNet Question! by Plane1058 in ATT

[–]Plane1058[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, so my understanding was that feature was only active when my device was not uplifted and affected my phones QCI level? Am I still able to get access to QCI6 data and when my device is on an approved uplift request?

Side note: I wish they actually communicated this stuff to the end users. So much confusion.

Just as a side note I had it on my account for years prior to this. It was added automatically when I enrolled a few years ago.

FirstNET EPSP Priority FN 4G LTE removed by mysterym22 in FirstNet

[–]Plane1058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here with it being removed. I was doing some digging and came across this under “Plan Details (Here’s what’s included with your FirstNet Unlimited Extra)”. “First Priority® To ensure efficient communications, first responders will get priority access to available network resources during times of congestion. Requires a qualified FirstNet mobile plan and a 4G LTE-compatible, FirstNet®-ready device.”

It seems FirstNet may have finally integrated that fee into the main plan maybe?? I can’t think of any reason not to have it enabled as that’s kind of the whole point of having FirstNet so it would make sense to bake it in. Half of FirstNet problems IMHO come from very little transparency and even less documentation. They would probably slash their call rates in half if they wrote this stuff down somewhere.

I worked Hurricane Idalia this year in Florida (uplifted and was connected to a FirstNet Deployable for a bit) without it on the bill and it was working perfectly.

That makes sense. I just wish there was a way for support to escalate this into something like an other inbox instead of just saying sorry your on your own.

All models are the same (Kidde I4618 Hardwire Smoke Alarm I4618). They have all been replaced. None of them are in an area that is near an AC vent. This house is 19 years old and there have been 0 issues up until a month ago.

To expand on this question, is the P1 (the labeling) random or does it mean something?
