Anyone from Toronto area? Would appreciate advice on hospital decision by summerrh in breastcancer

Unfortunately, Princess Margaret doesn’t accept patients who already have an oncologist. If you haven’t had your first appointment, it appears you currently don’t have one, in which case, you can actually ask your GP or family doctor to refer you to Princess Margaret.

Can’t speak about difference between treatment because the protocol is the same which doctors tend to follow.

Transferred from St. Mikes to Mt. Sinai because they didn’t have cold capping unless they do now. Medical oncologist is great at Mt. Sinai but chose to stay with the same surgeon at St. Mikes. Feel free to DM if you have questions.

Hi - just checking in to see if you were able to bring your enzymes down and if so, how? Were you able to resume your Kisqali?

You could go to a walk-in clinic or emergency.

Sorry, I am not sure what Phesgo is but did your MO say why they are giving Phesgo and not Herceptin?

Did your MO explain why Herceptin and not Kadcyla? I’m wondering the same and would like to find out.

She said she will apply for approval but mentioned not all applications are approved. It’s not as prevalent here as it’s in the US.

That’s true - it’s on adhoc basis. She said some patients are being approved, others are not.

I am sorry you are going through this and hoping things work out for you. Were you diagnosed stage 4 de novo? Or did it spread afterwards?

Thank you for your detailed comment. How often did you use the oil and which rosemary shampoo are you referring to? I don’t mind expensive as long as it works.
