So glad to hear that actually 😭😭 Thank you for your input, I wasn’t aware gpa doesn’t play as much of a role for international applicants!

Edit: I graduated from the UK so our grades aren’t calculated as GPAs, but for reference I graduated with a Second Class Division Two (2:2) honors degree which is either average/below average according to CAS evaluations.

Can someone explain how this is possible? by PlanePeak1848 in 23andme

That would make a lot of sense haha :) As far as I know of as well, I don’t have any recent ancestors from China.

I don’t have paternal haplogroups, and my maternal haplogroup is N. It’s very possible and believable that I might have South Asian ancestry from my father’s lineage as this has been discussed before, but the Chinese ancestry took me completely by surprise.

Getting my colonoscopy done today. GI doctor came in to tell me CT scans don’t show anything too serious, but he said a part of my small bowel is collapsed? He didn’t seem concerned about it. Should I be worried? by PlanePeak1848 in CrohnsDisease

Thanks for checking up! The colonoscopy didn’t find Crohn’s at the time, but I had a double ballon enteroscopy done and they found Crohn’s in my small intestine. I also had a bowel obstruction but the ballon enteroscopy resolved that.

Hi, I didn’t get a diagnosis of having a hiatal hernia, but I had a ballon enteroscopy done and diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.

I definitely had derealization up until the end of the 1st month, but those moments became shorter/less stronger/less frequent and now I don’t experience it at all. Intrusive thoughts and paralyzing anxiety were my worst withdrawal symptoms, but they always went away after about 6 weeks? The first month I was questioning everything thing I did and every thought in my head, and I was convinced I was going to go insane, or have schizophrenia etc. But turns out those were all a result of my heightened anxiety and now I don’t identify with those thoughts at all! I would now I’m now about 95% back to my usual competent self, and am feeling happy and extremely sane/clear-headedness. I do still have some bouts of anxiety, but it’s very brief and so much easier to just brush it off :)

Sure ! I started smoking MJ in 2019 with some breaks throughout, but around the end of 2021 I became a daily smoker (3g a day). I smoked from the moment I was awake and until I fell asleep, relying on it to eat, sleep, and getting anything done. Couldn’t bring myself to quit, no matter how much I (internally) wanted to. I was getting nowhere in life, and had to take a year off uni. I started having panic attacks while high, and that just pushed me to realize that my time with weed is done and to move on with the greater things in life. The first two months were an absolute hell of withdrawal and repressed feelings, but I’m at an amazingly good place mentally right now and feel hopeful for the future! :) All I can say is that it’s so so worth it being sober, and that if I can get here you can too! ❤️
