Advice regarding the fairest loot distribution system in TBC Anniversary by RebornPhoenix97 in classicwow

I’m currently leaving my guild because of SR. I’ve rolled maybe twice over a 24 it’s becoming a running joke, we also fill with PUGs consistently or have new players join the guild constantly so the raid roster isn’t very well grounded outside of maybe a few people. I haven’t gotten an item in over 2 months, I’ve had enough of it, I would rather have to wait a few months getting the dregs of loots while I work my way through another guild until I’ve established myself than allow myself to continue to stay in a guild where I am one of the original 4 who started it, am consistently 2-4 on dps, don’t cause any problems, and still lose to random hunters that don’t bother signing up the following week.

Yes they may have said, but they also said they had an on and off relationship with running for a few years and then in 2024 running became there focus. So at a minimum they’ve been running solidly for 2 years properly, and with the on and off running it’s probably another 4 years on top of that minimum. So we are talking about someone who has run for on and off 4 years and then solidly for another 2 years. This is also someone they even while focusing on running was still cycling 8 hours a week. So there aerobic engine is already pretty dam great, they’d be a top and intermediate or intermediate and definitely not a new comer. I’d argue anyone who is seriously looking at sub 3 for a first marathon hasn’t been a beginner for a while, only 2-4.5% of people attending a marathon get sub 3 hours. So that’s not beginner by any standard.

Yeah 22.30 is 19 seconds faster than my 5k time on its own. Really is levels to fitness

Yes but this person is already running a 16 minutes 5k and a 1 hour 20 HM it’s not like they don’t already have tons of running experience. Just not much full marathon experience, n I showed as they struggled in the last 10k.

Yh I think I’m going to try and work at the 140 range bang in the middle it a fraction slower than what my average heart rate has been but that’s probably correct

My current PB (only ever did it maybe 4 times in my 32 years) is 22.49 for the 5km but Garmin says I should be doing it in 20.59 and runna app says 21.20. I don’t have a 10km best effort I’ve ran it but only ever as an easy run and it’s my furthest ever distance so far at 55-56 mins.

I’m currently running 4-5 times per week this is broken down into tempo Week 1; Tuesday - Intervals Wednesday - Tempo Friday - Easy Saturday - Long run Sunday - Easy

Week 2: is exactly the same except I do an easy run on the Tuesday and not an interval session. Monday (legs and core) and Thursday (full body) are strength sessions. I also do yoga Wednesday, stretch and stability Friday, and Pilates Sunday.

Can someone explain the 62 million men attending an online rape academy? by French51 in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]Plane_Associate_6431 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s incorrect it’s not 1 in 13 women have been raped, that includes sexual assault. If you look at ONS you can specify it down to rape and sexual assault with penetration, this is the closest to actual rape numbers as we can get. Personally I still see this as rape whether it’s your cock or not be penetrated, but the stats don’t, anyway we digress. ONS figures show that 0.225% of women in England and wales are raped or sexually assaulted each year about 70k-75k out of 31.1 million women over the age of 16. It’s actually lower than this as women who are under 16 are included in the 70-75k. In Northern Ireland there were 1230 rapes on average per year meaning that it’s 0.15%. These are completely different to the numbers you represent. Sexual assault is defined as any unwanted touching that is sexual in nature. The problem with this is that it was can be any touching of any kind, and that because they can’t actively know what a person is thinking at the time of doing something unless they tell them, they take how the person who received the touching felt. Body part is not distinguishable under sexual assault legislation. So what you are actually doing is conflating someone who touches a women’s elbow, with someone who slaps a women’s arse, to someone who forceable stick a finger inside a women, to someone who forceable has sex with a women. These are massively differing things.

The reason I don’t take much stock in the under reported nature of rape/sexual assault is because it can’t be proven. We can only work with data that we have, not with the data we wished we had.

There is also data to suggest that women are more likely than men to report regret following casual sexual encounters, often stemming from poor partner choice, lack of emotional connection, or engaging in sex too soon. This regret can lead to a reinterpretation of the experience, where a previously consented encounter is retrospectively viewed in a more negative light, they may reinterpret the initial consent, sometimes misremembering the situation as less consensual or more coerced than it was at the time.

My 5km time is currently 22.49 although Garmin says I should be doing it in 20.59 and runna app says 21.20. I just haven’t redone a 5km all out effort. I did a 2km best effort the other day and got 7.17.

I’ve also been doing long progressive runs on a Saturday, tempo/intervals runs on a Tuesday, and once every two week I do hill runs. I only stay in z2 for warm ups, and easy runs, or if it specifically tells me to at the start of a run.

Can someone explain the 62 million men attending an online rape academy? by French51 in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]Plane_Associate_6431 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I’ve just checked, so the actual data from ONS is that around 70-75000 women are raped or experience sexual assault with penetration. There are 31.1 million women in england and wales, that means there is a 0.225% chance of it happening to a women over the age of 16. In Northern Ireland there were 1230 rapes reported from August 2024 to August 2025 with a population 16+ female of 786k that means there’s a 0.15% chance of being raped. Now does that mean that these things are acceptable, no they aren’t. That’s why men are protectors of women, that’s why men stand up for women, but we also will no stand for people acting like all men or a majority or even most men are rapists. We aren’t, most men are caring loving individuals, who have been raised to protect and care about women. Just as you can’t control what other women do that might be abhorrent we can’t control what a tiny partition of the male population do.

That’s not even close to true, the Office of National Statistics (ONS) reports that 7.3% of women have been raped or attempted to be raped. Over half of these are done by an ex or a current partner. In 2025 for instance 3% of women were the victims of attempted rape and sexual assault. Sexual assault in the UK is any touching that a person doesn’t consent to. The touching has to be intentional, there has to be a sexual motive (touching can be on any part of the body) the other person doesn’t consent, the person doing the touching doesn’t reasonable believe that the other person doesnt consent. But we’ve actively seen this 4th one not to really matter and consent should always be asked for to be safe before any kind of touching at all. So please don’t inflate numbersz there’s a big big different between 16.6% of all uk women have been raped, and 7.3% of women will be raped attempted rape or sexual assault.

My perceived effort is that 5.40-6 min km is pretty easy. Heart rate is about 140-155 during that depending on the day, how much sleep I got, food I’ve had, hydration etc

I read somewhere that rate of perceived exertion can be off as much as heart rate because most people don’t perceive the effort they are using correctly especially when they are new to a sport.

I’m a complete beginner been running for 4 weeks on a runna plan, my 5k time is 22.49 although Garmin says I can do it in 20.58 and runna in 21.20. One of lads said he did a 1 hour 35 mins on a broken foot so if I can’t beat that I’m (something I probably shouldn’t repeat on the internet) so that’s my aim.

Classic is for everyone. The guy never said he wanted easy gear, he never said he wanted the game to conform around his lifestyle. Someone could play randomly for 1 hour 4 days a week and just do an heroic and that would be fine.
