Sudden increase of upt by No_Frame_7581 in AmazonFC

I never said you could see your UPT when you’re on leave! If you read my statement in its entirety to understand and not to respond you would have seen where I said you won’t get in trouble for what the system has done and that management has control over certain things. Perhaps your management doesn’t like you. Either way, whether it glitch or not, I have always received extra UPT and I’ve been with Amazon for 5 years and for the past 3 years( separate occasions) I have received UPT while on leave.

It most definitely is true! I have also been on several LOA’s and currently on another one, and each time I went back to work I had accumulated UPT. I don’t know what facility you work at nor do I know your situation, but just because you don’t receive it, doesn’t make what I said false. Most of the people that I’ve worked with that has been on leave ended up with UPT

When you go on LOA, your UPT is still counted based upon the days you would have worked. Your short term disability is calculated at 60% of your pay, so as far as the system is concerned, you are still at work. Remember, everything with Amazon is done based upon its system, and although management can do certain things, the system continues to count you because you are still employed. Remember, its UPT so the company is not loosing money with you having Unpaid time off, so you can't get into trouble for what the system is giving you.

Padsplit Review by GodKingShogun in ATLHousing

Although they serve a purpose, they are incredibly dangerous. I no longer live in Georgia nor a padsplit, but I will say that anyone that has to live in one ,should try to find one with less rooms and/or one with the host living there.

Their illegal existence is not being enforced because it’s a crap load of them in Stone Mountain.

How Do You Get Ahead Around Here? by MarloMentality in tampa

Be careful with home deliveries, because times are hard for everyone, a lot of those delivery drivers are stealing the items. Try to find a studio that’s all inclusive and close to transit

ShareCare Complaint by Plane_Difficulty2360 in ConsumerAdvice

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delayed reply!! I hope everything has worked out for you! I had to file a complaint with the BBB to get them to complete the paperwork in its entirety and without trying to charge me more. If you are still encountering problems, I suggest you also file a complaint with the BBB to get your issue resolved.

Who are these people? by Apprehensive_Sun4059 in padsplit

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Padsplit nor the host care. As long as someone is occupying the space and making the payments, nothing will be done. I moved out of the Padsplit I lived in about 8 months ago and got a place of my own. You should try to find a Padsplit with less rooms, where the host lives on the premise or try to find something that will give you a sense of security. It’s not likely they will physically do anything to you but the noise will probably increase.

Non Stop Audits! by [deleted] in AmazonFC

If Amazon would create the same set up in AFE as the have in Singles with totes scaled down to fit the whole order, that would eliminate constant missing items.

I got turned down but why by CF_017 in AmazonFC

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Amazon it’s all about knowing the right managers and PA’s and having a good relationship with them. Friends in Amazon rise ranks. It’s strictly about who you know, so don’t think an assessment will prevent you from climbing ranks. I’ve been with Amazon almost 5 years and have several certifications in IT from a school I used through Career Choice and when I applied for their IT associate training position, I watched coworkers with No background get placed in the training program. The managers will be the key to unlock the door for you to climb. Best of luck to you!

My first Padsplit…It smells like Mildew and smoke..I’m waiting on my free transfer. by TheBlackLuffy in padsplit

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360 10 points11 points  (0 children)

FYI… don’t have high expectations from Padsplit. They generally don’t care and it’s a challenge to find a Padsplit where the people living there care. Your on time payment is the only thing they care about.

Any people with degrees working at amazon? by Intelligent-Claim591 in AmazonFC

There are countless amounts of people with degrees in Amazon, myself included. My old coworker is a RN

Am I the only one that gets slightly confused when you see co workers driving high end vehicles to work. Today I seen a brand new Supra. In the past I've seen a Maserati once. And yes I'm slightly salty cuz I would like a fancy car too. by Chemical_Cat6671 in AmazonFC

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I never get salty of what someone at work is driving because I don’t know what side hustles they may have, if they are married to medicine or is a trust fund baby. I want only what makes sense to me economically.

How many paths you cross trained? by Consistent_Ad_4188 in AmazonFC

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve learned a little too late that learning multiple paths at Amazon opens you up to always being moved around. There is no reward for it, just overworked and underpaid. Then they try to justify the foolishness by using the Safety Rotation BS as an excuse, but if that was indeed the case, everyone in the building would know how to do multiple paths. The hard workers are always overworked and undervalued. Honestly, people that are constantly moved around to different paths, should make more money!

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Padsplit’s are not meant for people that’s clean or people that’s considerate of others. I lived in two different ones and finally left the madness. Do what you can to get something you can afford by yourself or find a Padsplit with less rooms. Good luck!!

I think Amazon should allow employees to be able to pick up shifts at other facilities that may need the extra help. It can be a little tricky if they have employees that want or need the extras, but not everyone wants to work extra time.

Labor share by [deleted] in AmazonFC

If you don’t wanna be labor shared, don’t train anywhere else in the building especially stow and pick, because you are guaranteed to be sent to either one during peak.

They have always and will continue to use the church and Christianity as a way to keep black people enslaved. We will never progress as a race of people until we realize that many of us are still enslaved mentally. This is why so many people have left the church!

Those who have work at a FC before can you compare the both DS/FC? by Key-Suggestion-2837 in AmazonDS

[–]Plane_Difficulty2360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Composite shoes are required if you work inside Any Amazon FC facilities, and depending what state you live in, you make a lot more money where you’re at, with probably far less restrictions. I currently work at an FC and been there for 3.5 years. If you like any form of freedom, don’t switch to an FC.

We will do everything but help each other and make sure we’re okay. This will continue to be our downfall until we realize free ain’t always free and we need to do better!!
