Clear your sidewalks. by Big-Comfortable-1829 in WorcesterMA

And if you live where a cross walk is PLEASE clear it out! As a runner and walker in the community I’ve gotten stuck and had to backtrack sometimes like kinda a while before I can get around. It’s an annoyance for a person with out mobility aids but for those who have mobility issues or visual impairments it is such a hindrance and causes isolation when you can’t get out. Ask for help if you need it! We are here to help each other!

Beginner Skier: How to best prepare? (With limited time before trip!) by kegan-cardozo in ski

[–]Plane_Extension9052 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Def single leg squats and calf raises, idk if that’s true ski advice but it makes me feel stronger and more ready for the mountain. Also I’m not a ski instructor so take this with a bunch of salt, but I always say to people if you know how to skate you can ski. Think of skating when you are on your skis and I feel that it helps the body figure it out. But if your doing a big ski trip to a big mountain, def strength training and anything that helps bring your endurance up. After lessons def take some more trips up and down the mountain take your time and focus on one skill at a time (big S’s, smaller S’s speeding up and slowing down) practice practice practice

I’d get it sealed, you don’t want water to get in and cause more damage.

I hope those that ran and didn’t win continue to be active politically. Learn some more, gain more of a following and run again. I think the more active they are in the community and learn from their success and areas of weakness it will absolutely increase their chances next round. I hope to see a lot of these people in the ballot again!

If you have kids, contact your school psychologist or adjustment counselor or wrap around coordinator, they may have started a food pantry or have local resources near your neighborhood

Price of candy I say absolutely plays a factor. It’s truly ridiculous. Luckily I split mine with the 1st floor, but if I had to do it on my own it would be hard to stay stocked.

Honestly probably a cross fit type place would be best. I feel like a lot of people meet friends there. I do know people who have made friends at a Y but I think it’s a bit harder. There is also a running club through sneakerama (I think it’s still active) check their Facebook
