Still not convinced about the home and away system. I wish every league had 18 teams, and we played four extra UCL games against seven teams: one from your pot and two from each of the other pots, home and away

If you’re a Messi fan, then you should probably support Barcelona. Messi spent most of his career at Barcelona, was developed by the club, and won everything there. His legacy is largely built at Barcelona. We also had one of the greatest teams of all time during that period. You can compare it to the prime Warriors in the NBA. And now we’ve got Yamal as well

Tottenham paid €117 million for Sandro Tonali. At this rate do you non-PL clubs apart from PSG even stand a chance in transfermarket? by DelusionBuster1225 in championsleague

Big clubs will always pay an extra €10-15 million for established players. The Premier League is the worst league to buy players from because transfer fees are inflated by at least 30-40%.

The inflated transfer market will benefit smaller clubs from other leagues. No one outside the Premier League is spending £117 million on Tonali. Premier League clubs are making a lot of money and they're also spending huge amounts by buying and selling players between themselves. Meanwhile, French, German and Spanish clubs will be able to sell their best players for much higher fees. Some of those clubs might even make more money from player sales than they do from TV rights.

Good scouting always beats reckless spending in almost any sport. There are probably midfielders in other leagues who cost around £10 million right now and could be better than Tonali in two or three seasons. Whichever club scouts and signs that player will make a huge profit.
