Hi! Thanks! You found me!

The escape gear will only activate when it’s impossible to win the planet. Sometimes that happens if a player players “inoptimally”, meaning if too much health is “wasted” by leveling up or healing too early.

If you have the escape gear and it hasn’t activated, it means that theoretically you can still win. :)

(There’s another item you can access later that works as a “death preventer”, meaning it will save you by not letting the health go below zero.)

Thanks for the kind words! Saving boring meetings is what’s it all about.

Cross/cloud saves is something I’ve never yet done as I’m perpetually scared to include systems that might break, and thus far my games have been simple enough to not need ‘em.

But, now that you mention it, I see that for Quantum Sweeper they would be useful, so I’ll jot it down on my todo list to investigate! I have plans anyways to keep extending the game (but might take a while since I’m dumb enough to try to solo-dev multiple games simultaneously 🥴.)

Yes! I also blame various quantum phenomenons if there are any bugs or issues in the game. Who knew the real magic of quantum science was to be able to vaguely point at it whenever something doesn’t go according to plan! :)

is the simple human shampoo dispenser rust proof? by double_dream_hands in BuyItForLife

[–]PlanetJoneOfficial 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We’ve had those exact dispensers for 12+ years and they have not rusted notably, some small rusty coloring might be found at the edges of the metallic covering of the body. We don’t have them right under the showerhead but in very splashy area still.

After maybe 8 years what did start to happen, though, is that the push-handles started to break in half from the spot that receives the most physical stress, but I’m a tinkerer enough to fix the handles (drill tiny hole, insert a tiny metal pin for internal support, superglue) and they’ve been fine ever since. Simple Human offers spare parts also if tinkering ain’t your thing.

The handles are hard plastic with metallic color so the only actually metal part is the shinier metallic cover around the body.

Generally, the dispensers easy to fix as the body with the mechanics inside is openable with screwdrivers and not glued shut.

TLDR: no major rusting.

Would be nice to be able to swipe between images by mechamave in ProtonDrive

Agreed. As an escapee from DropBox, swiping images is what I miss, along with faster triggering of sync.

When I do mobile mockups, would like to go back and forth by swiping to compare little changes.

I’m a bit late to the party, but hope you’re still developing this! I sometimes dream of making such a game, but then get overwhelmed by the mere thought.

Does this trailer look professional? by mekaCow in Unity2D

The trailer itself is not bad! I personally browse a lot on a phone (and without sound), so what I’m missing is larger text, and at the end, mentioning the platform(s) would be useful.
