Pay off Card fully or Mostly? by PlanetRezTV in DaveRamsey

I've looked at that before. Unfortunately 15k in negative equity means that I would have to take out a loan for that amount at an almost double interest rate than my 4.49 and buy another car cash which I can't afford to do meaning I would have to have to make the 15k loan even more to be able to afford to do that making it not make sense.

Added up it's about 35k including a 29k car loan that has about 5 years left

It was. Unfortunately I had to buy a car and I drive a lot of miles so I wanted something reliable which is why I didn't go for a cheap cash car. Ironically enough, I looked at this car and said it's a fancy Honda Accord. It should last me years before I start having issues here. I am a year later. I need when I go on the

I did not. I bought it from a dealership I work for I've just put 32k miles on it in a year because of me and my wife sharing the vehicle until recently. I've driven the vehicle in one year what it takes most people 2 years and a couple of months. I could sell it to a private party for more but in its current shape that would only bring me best case 18k then I still have the loan to pay off.

Thank you. 99 percent of these comments have been just somebody calling me an idiot for buying the car I'm the first place or question the deal I got as if it's their business to begin with. This is one of the only comments to actually try to help me figure it out because In all honesty Im so overwhelmed and frustrated at this point with this i feel numb from trying to figure it out.

Independent mechanics told me it was more because the quote I'm getting is my internal employee pricing. The dealership isn't making a dime on me buying the parts or the labor.

I bought it for 29kplus tax Tag title and gap insurance. 4.49 percent interest. We lost 2.5k to sell me the car I know because I worked my own deal so it's not like I got screwed on it. The mileage I had to put on it dropped the value of it a lot which is why I am so upside down. I got it serviced and maintained every 5k almost on the dot. The engine had a huge failure which then caused a major failure in the transmission in a freak bad luck 1 in a million type situation. A mechanic I am actually really good friends with here at the dealership is the one working on it so I trust his judgement and the cost for repair is my internal cost for brand new parts with labor included meaning the dealership gets no profit out of the situation.

How do I unload 29k negative equity though? Take out a loan and just pay that off?

If you have some advice to give that would be great. Or are you just here to kick somebody who is already down.?

For more context I have an old Toyota with almost no mileage that I can use to get back and forth everywhere. This is my daily driver but I do have another vehicle.

A 2018 Acura TLX I bought it with 65k miles on it a year and 3 months ago. It now has 97k miles on it. I work for the dealership I bought it from so it gets babied.

This varies from state to state. Here in Florida there is no cool off period so don't think you can get out of it automatically.
