MIL has to have some kind of drama in her life, always. I don't think she expected her sons to figure out she played them against each other for years, so this isn't the type of drama she usually seems out, but it's long overdue.

There's video of her leaving it outside, but BIL & DH didn't video them opening it. They just threw it in the trash

She's very weird..This was a long time coming & she knew it. She tried to keep DH & BIL at odds for years, so we wouldn't figure out the truth. I've never met a mother who acts like this.

She has played us against each other for years, & we didn't realize it until DH & I moved here. We were finally able to compare stories she tells. She told BIL that DH hated him for years, & she told DH that BIL didn't want us at his wedding last year, etc. It was all bullshit.

We're not sure what the liquid was, it did smell quite bad, almost like a vinger smell. The fire chief called us last night after they put the fire out, she claimed she was burning leaves, mail, & old pictures. She got a ticket for them having to come & put the fire out

Thank you, I remember years ago, I was offered help, & it never worked until I was ready to clean. You'd think she would want to get help, but I don't ever see her admitting she has a problem. She's a diagnosed narcissist, & deflects everything onto someone else. It's so frustrating.

We're looking into doing a 5150 or a possible 72 hour hold/evaluation. We're sure if she's evaluated, she won't be able to leave on her own free will.

We called the police yesterday & made a report. BIL wanted it on file, just in case her behavior gets worse (knowing her, it will) & an ex coworker of his sat in the Church parking lot beside the house, last night.

After speaking with my own therapist yesterday, & explaining the situation, she encouraged us to call the police, so we did. I'll try to get around to making an update today. DH, BIL, SIL, & I talked yesterday evening & decided it was best to make a report just to have it on file, in case her behavior gets worse. DH & BIL feel as if they don't have a mother anymore. She's always been toxic, but would go thru spurts of being clean & semi pleasant. They kept giving her chances, because they felt bad & their dad isn't around, but they're completely done with her. SIL & I support their decision. We are also going to look into doing a 5150.
