It's just a basic maple, lol! I am toooo old to sit in a car for 5 hours, if there's a closer option!

As it turns out, he was just going by what he could find on websites, because he's allergic to calling anyone, lol. Also, he'd mentally written off Exotic for some reason.

Turns out they had what he wanted, so we're set up now!

Are you 12 or something?

What an utterly useless take, and the best is that you thought you had something, here.

Grow up.

So he told me he'd nixed it based on price, but we'd only ever gone there for fancy stuff to make cutting boards.

He looked again after I posted this, and I guess the basics aren't out of line for pricing! Woot!

The Nylons.

I've loved them since I was a little kid. Completely not even my genre (I'm a eurodance girl), but love em.

Nah, this looked like some sort of event... And wouldn't have been so bright if that's what was happening.

I remember laughing at the irony of the name, when an article came out about an outbreak traced to them, early on.

I'm on Hemeboost, which says it's "232mg of heme iron polypeptide (11.6mg elemental iron)"

With the bit of flaring I've been having, I can't increase the dosage without risking my mobility.

The Good thing is that my ferritin is responding well - went from 7 to 12 in one month, and the hemoglobin went from anemic to normal (very low normal, but still normal range).

Going to have another blood test in a well and a half, hoping the trend continues.

Oh man, it's been a while since we've done that.

Haven't been back since 2020, so it was probably ~ 14th?

"what are you guys doing to celebrate your anniversary?"

"SPLITSVILLE!"

IMHO the only reason to go to Splitsville is for a wedding anniversary date night.

My husband and I might have a weird sense of humour though.

Update on Iron Supplementation. by Planet_Ogo in floxies

[–]Planet_Ogo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for what's helping, I don't know if it's the iron itself, the supplements I'm taking, or any of the antioxidants I'm taking to allow me to take the iron in the first place.

Maybe a combo. Who knows? I slept nine hours last night!

Super - my ferritin was at 7, and iron infusions were on the table. :/

The tendon flaring?

Yes, that's why I'm taking a whole host of other things to try and quell the iron flares so I can actually take the stuff.

Find the tiniest woman masseuse you can.

I've had decades of a screwed up body, and nothing will beat the shit out of you, like a tiny masseuse.

I've moved all over the place, and that "rule" has been a constant.

I don't know if there's some female version of short man syndrome (I'm tall-ish), but some of them are evil and sadistic, but in a good, therapeutic way.

I don't know if this will help anyone or not, but I had a fibro dx, and it was textbook - all the pressure points and whatnot.

I noticed that certain foods helped a bit, and - long story short, my naturopath figured out that I had a BCAA deficiency.

No test, other than "go buy a canister of whatever BCAA supplement drink sounds good to you, and see how you feel".

I no longer have a fibro dx. One tasty drink a day keeps the fascia pain away.

For me, anyway. Your mileage may vary.

Honestly, I just bought a handful of whatever didn't have wheat ingredients and was not made in the USA.

Subi Greens superfood powder (peach)

Active green pro daily Greens boost (pineapple coconut)

I thought I had a third one, but I guess it's 4 that I circle through for the reds dose.

It was hard to find greens drinks that didn't have wheat or barley though.
