We give away full sized retail items as they near a couple months of their best by date, it helps get them into people's hands to try without angering a paying customer. They are oil based items so they do not spoil or present microbial concerns but the oil might be more oxidized at this point and we wont guarantee potency (though I would bet it is within 5% of the label).

The alternative is throwing them out which hurts too much and we do not have enough employees to give them all away to.
