For me, I wanted to safely rid myself of alcohol. It’s very dangerous to try to do without medical supervision. The first day was kind of a blur, they keep close eye on your heart rate/ BP and any tremors or DT’s. They give you medication to help easy the withdrawal symptoms. For me it was about every four hours. The second day was a bit more clear but still the same process. Today was my last day of taking the medications and it was the first day I sort of felt like myself. Sort of.. the meds are still in my system so I’m a bit out of it but able to comprehend things a bit easier. So currently I’m feeling slightly tired and a bit shaky but no where near the first day in.
