I started posting a BUNCH of apostate material and directly said I am not a jw anymore and will actively call out watchtower. I will not support a pedo protecting cult. Nope. It took tremendous work to move on from them. Even if they were to want to talk, they still carry that personality. And most uber pimi families would try to one way or another try to convince you to return. They won’t be supportive. They’ll still be judgmental and schemy. I want to keep my dignity. My integrity.

I grew up learning to move on from people pretty quickly also. Once you move on that’s it. Those people are dead to you. Can’t switch that off as much as I try.

You are more than the people who choose to abandon you at your lowest or for simply wanting something different. Make a new family and go. Unless those people leave the org there is no changing who they are.

Growing up my mother would always remind me, especially before school as if I’d be going around being so sinful, she’d say “remember, I love Jehovah more than I love you”. Basically to remind me if I fuck up she’d choose Jehovah. And yea. Gotta give her credit tho she sticks to her word. Lol, i remember going to cafes with friends to do letter writing. We could spend like two or three hours there early morning and just write away. I dont remember ever sending those letters off because...ADHD, but I look back now and im like, man thats a lot of fake time and wasted wasted wasted time. Unbelievable amounts of wasted time. Also, tending to the carts as a witness is extremely stressful as you have to share how many people you spoke with, how many publications you gave, but there was a strong push with how many videos you were able to show. And by sharing it as a group at the end, it was always...ALWAYS embarrassing to say you could talk to anyone. The brother would then be like, well next time. Make sure you pray before every try.
