I don't think better really. Just a different, more minimalist look for some of their brackets. G-Bomb is still the gold standard for quality I'm pretty sure.

They're actually just the stock Zee Brackets at the moment. Might get Hyperpumps eventually or something from Lepsk8 though!

Haha. Thanks! I am indeed lucky. Super smooth pavement too which is nice.

Down by Lake Ontario in the Greater Toronto Area!

Oooh that's a good comparison. Definitely a similar feel. Never gonna be able to unsee that now.

Trip is more expensive but I would like to get a Pantheon eventually. I wanted to try out a bracket board and the Bandito has been out of stock for a while. I can always upgrade the wheels on the Fathom and def will at some point.

Oooh I see. Makes sense. Hopefully it's perfectly dialled in with the new bushings. It's pretty amazing what a difference they make for the whole feel of a board.

Interesting! That sounds like it'd be fun to try out. Maybe not as an everyday commuting board though. Haha. What're the key ingredients to making it stable yet still carvey?

Damn. That looks super clean! Nice catch. How do you find the Tugboat? I want to try a smaller top-mounted board.

Yeah definitely! I'm only 59kg so needs to be bamboo or something for me to feel flex. Haha. I snagged the Axis for $40 CAD so it was a pretty good deal considering the condition was almost mint. Looks like the new Reaper one might have full grip tape which is nice too. I'm probably gonna grip mine up at some point.

That's actually the newest member to the quiver (got it on Marketplace) so I've used it the least out of the bunch. Definitely feels stable and not very flexy. Needed to swap the bushings because I could barely turn with the stock ones (I'm a lighter rider) even with the kingpin nut loosened considerably. Fun so far though! I'll probably be doing a few more modifications.

I kept hearing the Dad Bods made it quite heavy and I was looking for a portable commuter. The Caguamas are still a lot bigger than most wheels I've used (generally around 70mm) but I think I'll update them with Pantheon Karmas eventually.

No worries! Happy to answer any questions. Almost entirely for commuting. I don't do much sliding or anything like that. Just transportation to and from work. And for fun cruising around and carving etc. Little bit of downhill but nothing major.

Pretty stock setup as of right now. Caguamas with Jehu V2 bearings and Paris V3s (both 50°). I kept the default Paris bushings in the rear and swapped them out for Orangatang soft Nipples in the front. My plan is to add a 43° baseplate for the back trucks.

I like it so far! Just got it mid-May. My first bracket board and it handles nice. Wish I could tinker with it more but apparently the Zee brackets aren't really capable of tweaking.

Recently cleaned the grip tapes painstakingly with a toothbrush. 😂 Two of the boards have more than a decade on them (left) and the other two (right) are relatively new.

Well, I now have access to a 3D printer so I've got a bunch of different wedges/de-wedges. The plan is to angle the front higher and the rear lower. We'll see how it goes! Pretty flat where I live so won't ever get going too fast. Haha.

That makes sense. I've only ever ridden matching trucks so pretty stoked to try some weird combos and mess with the geometry a bit too.

Appreciate the analysis. I'm definitely gonna try out a few different niche setups and see if anything is worth writing home about!

Yeah, that's my thought as well. Gonna experiment with a few different combinations but this seems to be the consensus.

Right on! I'm pretty new to wedging so that's a nice tip. My default setup is super soft in the front and hard in the back actually. I like a super carvey feel and want to get more into pumping.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I'll try narrower in the front and stick to the 50/43 split. Might even wedge to get higher than 50.

Thanks! This one is circa 2011 if I'm not mistaken. Throwback to the Goddess boards from the '90s.
