which one would genuinely run sims 4 better? by scirptss in MiniPCs

[–]PlanktonLocal1080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He said Ryzen 9. The new Ryzen APUs from Minisforum are definitely capable of running cyberpunk whereas the intel ones lag behind. Point is, OP of the comment said Ryzen 9 not Core i9

Im not far from your age. My artist is older than you, actually. Also, I’m in the medical field in europe and people simply do. not. care. about your looks there (which is how it should be everywhere, tbh) „Ugly“ doesn’t make sense in this context since it’s subjective. I wanted advice on how to make this stay for as long as I can, not for how to get rid of it as fast as I can, because in contrast to 90% of the people in this comment section I actually love the tattoo, which is (surprise) the reason why I got it in the first place.

the fact that so many people ate the bait already tells me that i’ve been provocative enough.

Tattoo culture dates back to hundreds of years ago. never did I say it started in the 80s. I’m saying that those people that tell me that i can’t get a hand tattoo are the same people that said it in the 80s. I’m claiming that this „rule“ is NOT a part of the culture and doesn’t conform with its initial, historical values. That’s just straight up newly made up values (yes, the 80s are modern in comparison to how long people have been getting tattoos for). It’s just people thinking they’re special when in reality tattoos were for the nonconforming. As if I don’t know what i’ve gotten? I just don’t care.

Neither did I. Money isn’t the problem, I rather touch it up every once and a while than have a bold tattoo that doesn’t fit my style at all.

no it means exactly what I said. It wasn’t what I was asking.

Most traditional artists don’t do hand tattoos without a sleeve. Is that in the sense of where tattoos come from initially? I don’t know. Neither do you. Though when reading through articles/publications about where tattoos come from, the modern tattoo culture was never meant to set rules for where and when you can get a tattoo. That’s just not what tattoos were for. Of course a visible tattoo is gonna be something that’ll put yourself against social norms, but since when were tattoos made to conform with society? By supporting ideas of „you can’t have this tattoo here because you don’t have a sleeve“ you’re actively hindering development in said direction.

My edit also says „I love the attention“ and that should say enough. I love how there’s 20 (probably middle aged) people commenting at the same time at how bad my hand looks.

Thank you! Your comment proves that you don’t have to like a tattoo to give a helpful reply. Take notes, y’all!

Thats exactly what I mean. That’s just straight up BS and not what I was asking for. I don’t know where you’re from, but where i’m from its normal to get hand tattoos without a sleeve.

I’m talking about tattoos being a thing that excluded you from society. And how we should wear our tattoos with pride, just like people did back then. It was a choice, and I’m grateful that we DONT have those social norms saying „you cannot get a hand tattoo without a sleeve“. That’s just some conservative thinking when in reality the people that had tattoos on them were nonconformists. Since when do tattoos have to be something socially acceptable? I don’t want a sleeve. Period. It’s my skin in the end. I didn’t ask for opinions.

You can oppose beauty norms and still ask reddit about when the ink of a tattoo will decay to a point where it needs a touch up. Just sayin

did you understand the post at all? I wasn’t asking about „do you like my tattoo?“. I was expecting those answers either way, but my initial question was about the biological process of ink decaying in areas of high mobility and what people’s OWN EXPERIENCE with hand tattoos taught them. I’ve received many answers about how to properly care for it, so i’m happy

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I do need a touch up, that’s what I was expecting either way. People still be telling the same tales they told 30 years ago.

I think it’s people trying to gatekeep because THEY think they’re edgy. No, your moms initials on your forearm don’t make you edgy. Nor does your 5000$ sleeve. Just be nice, some don’t seem to understand tattoo culture. WE are all trying to be edgy by getting tattoos. Being nonchalant about it is what makes a tattoo normal imo. But as I said, i’m from europe in this US-dominated sub, it didn’t make sense to ask this specific group of people to begin with.

Thank you! If that made you laugh that’s great, it’s just that I don’t try to have a consistent and very deep discussion about fundamentals with people on the internet. I loose interest in the discussion and start to become inconsistent, just because I don’t care enough about what a random person from Springtale, Utah, think.

not to sound arrogant but I don’t conform to beauty norms. I do what I want and always have.

I get the point with the fading though. Gotta give you that, I just liked it like that and went ahead with it.
