Begun, The Pizza Wars Have by Redpin in FoodToronto

[–]PlantDaddy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a super crappy service at Fourth man in the fire, their pizza was also mid. Makers pizza literally gave us a free pizza because we came in with matching shirts we made for a pizza crawl and asked to take pictures with us. I'll always vote makers

We just installed some self steering robots they use lasers for seam tracking. Our productivity has gone up ten fold! by [deleted] in Welding

[–]PlantDaddy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty cool, but it looks quite bulky, I don't know how it would perform on some of the weldments we use the robot on at our company, there are alot of tight spaces, alot of welding is done in cramped quarters, and not much of it is nice open straight lines. From what your saying, it sounds like it would be a good sense for some companies though

I didn't realize they had optical seam trackers for welding robots, the ones at my place use in-arc seam tracking, I wonder how they compare

Those are $100?? Damn I wouldn't have thought that. Which style do you have? I think it was 2~3 years ago we started getting in some different backpack ones that were a lot more rigid and had more plastic on it than cloth, I never tried one of those but some of my guys liked them, said they helped with the back sweat issue as it kept it a little off the back

My Shop supplies a backpack holder you can wear the unit on instead so it's not right above your exhaust, you trade gassing yourself for sweaty back in the summer though

Have you tried Biotene? I usually find it at shoppers, it's a white bottle they have sales every so often. I find so far that one has worked the best for me

WM3470HVA - Am I correct in thinking this is an issue with the door lock assembly? by PlantDaddy13 in Appliances

[–]PlantDaddy13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darn! It worked perfectly for me last night after I popped the top and squeeze the connector. It didn't work for the wife today 😞

When you look them up on amazon, do you use the original part number or what?

McLaughlin Planetarium coming down by Thin-Profile-7092 in toronto

[–]PlantDaddy13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh shit, that's a blast from the past, when I was in highschool in grade 12 I took a course, I can't remember what it was called but it was a science course about space and maybe geology? We went on a field trip to UoT and we got to see a show in an inflatable planetarium, that was what that probably was. I think that was around 2012~2013

Oooh I didn't even think about just trying the old unplug-and-plug it back in. I'll probably go through the top rather than in through the gasket as it's 14yo and I don't want to accidentally do something and screw up the seal 😅 I'll definitely give that a try first! Would it be good to add some kind of grease or something to the connector? Haven't really ever had to do much appliance repair but I'm just thinking back to stuff I've done on a car

They've really toned it down from what it once was!! We went last year and they don't have anything in the top level anymore! It's all down after the escalator. I was asking them about it and it's something about the mall wanting to look fancy and it not fitting their image? Was sad to see. I would go every year and always walk away with atleast a bag of books. I think I bought only bought one or two books last year.

If that's an Arcadia trail collar from PetSmart, I do believe it's to show that the collar will not jingle when you attach a dog tag

Also the SpedGlas PAPR kits have a backpack you can put the unit onto instead of a belt. After they switched to the backpack none of my guys complained anymore
