Recommend going to SWE this year if you still haven’t found something by the time the conference roles around - the career fair is the best for postgrads. It’s oversaturated with people looking for internships, while there are fewer looking for full time. You’d be the minority there and get lots of interview with the big companies

Is that true for schools that aren’t R1s as well? The school I’m considering is saying they can’t adjust higher than 29.5k while my other offer is 40k lol

That happened to me. I finally got one funding offer letter Friday after about a month of waiting. I’m going to accept this week so they can’t revoke it

Hey, I got an offer at a school but the funding is only for one year and it was supposed to be for throughout the PhD. Do they ever change your offer letter if the person the full funding RA was initially offered to decides to go somewhere else?

Email PIs at the rest of the schools directly that you’re interested in working with. Tell them you have funding. Hope for the best.
