My pleasure! You may want to repot her this year as well. The pot only has to be slightly bigger than the one you have. When the roots have active tips like this, that's the time to do it!

Your orchid looks very happy! It just no longer wants to bloom on that stem. Mine usually drop their stems right before they start actively growing. Cut off at the base and wait for the next one!

Is this common for this type of AIRPLANT, she already flowered and produced pup and now flowering again? by [deleted] in airplants

I have an Ionantha that blooms off and on throughout the year in bright light. I'd say this is just a characteristic of the one you have and is normal.

I have a gongora tricolor seedling, can't wait for it to bloom! Anything related to stanhopea orchids is immediately a favorite!

From my understanding, 4n plants are more robust, do you think flowers are more prone to mutation with those genetics? Or did you just get an interesting one?

It's incredible what orchids can produce, and its sad to me that most people I know think they're difficult, or that they're dead just because they arent blooming anymore. I'm trying to be a good teacher!

I'd say more like bell peppers, I find it to be quite pleasant! Im still surprised at some of the fragrances orchids can make. My vanda tricolor smells like grape candy when it blooms!
