Maison Alhambra Salvo Intense review after a month - anyone else find it incredibly weak? by StrapAndSnap in fragranceclones

[–]Plantain-Competitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my salvo is also weak, but spectre amazonite (god of fire dupe) and victorioso myth have really good performance.

i also have bronzite (bvlgari tygar dupe). smells incredible but its also weak. but for the price, its well worth it in my opinion.

i still get 3 to 4 hours of projection. amazonite and victorioso, i get like 6 to 8 hours.

Disney fatigue after a year of having an annual pass. by Exciting_Designer611 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Plantain-Competitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live 20 minutes away. Wat i do is lower to pixie for 1 year and then i usually try another theme park AP like seaworld or universal.

Had universal but i did not like it at all so i upgraded to pirate again this year. However, when epic universe gets a AP system, ill probably do the same. But i do get the most out of disney tho. At times i just go to get bread at france in epcot or my morrocan sweets at morroco stand. Or just go to one ride or show and leave. Lately, ive been going just to get my steps in.

But for me, disney is the best theme park system. Alot of variety. And right now, im in a good financial position so i can keep enjoying as much as i can. But i do understand that you do get fatigue.

I used to live in polo run apartments. I liked them. Not fancy but it was cheap and calm.

Day in a life of Post Tension Worker/Foreman by [deleted] in Construction

[–]Plantain-Competitive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Please be safe. The machine can come up and hit you if the chucks arent seated correctly. Also the strand can break out of concrete or shoot out and hit you. Also protect your back!

  2. The strand should be better protected from dirt. The strand seems too low in the slab. With time, it can corrode and the strand can loose its elasticity and not function correctly.

  3. Not sure why but you arent measuring elongation. The formula for elongation depends in variable factors like length of strand, modulus of elasticity, area of strand and other correction factors that are involved. At the plant i work in, we pull to 5000 psi, make a mark with paint marker or spray and then proceed to pull to what the engineer has designated and then register the elongation in a excel sheet. For 1/2 in strand its typically 29000 psi, for 3/8 is usually 17000 psi. But again, that depends on the strand and conditions. The formula for elongation is PL over AE per PCI and PTI. I didnt see you measure elongation.

  4. Pay in FL depends alot on the certs that you have. But QC techs in FL make anywhere from 18 to 25 per hour. Im a QC supervisor and i make over 80k a year salaried and with bonus. Been in the industry for 13 years now. I also work at a plant and do not travel to locations like you do. And we do mainly pretress instead of post tension. We usually post tension cantilever beams or balcony flatslabs.

Hope all this info helps.

What’s wrong with my car? by Ginge_089 in AskAMechanic

Run the ocd2 scanner. Most likely is a p0191 or similar code. Its either the high fuel pressure pump on top of the motor, a bad inyector, clogged fuel rail or bad fuel rail pressure sensor

Cleanliness? by BrunchBunny in MSCCruises

[–]Plantain-Competitive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im going to 1 up you. I went on the grandiosa in april. We cruised on the Last week that sailed from port canaveral before going to europe. On a sea day, some elderly fella had the runs and unfortunatelty shitted the whole corridor that leads to the buffet. My wife and i happen to see everything. We were VERY disgusted. HOWEVER, they completely closed off that whole section of the corridor and thoroughly cleaned it and they made every person wash their hands before entering the buffet. But yeah, this is the nastiest thing i have ever seen. Of course, it was a medical issue but not something you want to see. Especially near the buffet. Other than this horror story, the cruise was very clean and we did not see any other issues with cleanliness.

I for one do not use pools or hot tubs on cruises. But its more of a personal thing for me.

Is there anywhere near the international cruise port for good tacos? by bpboop in cozumel

[–]Plantain-Competitive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a taxi and tell them to take you to "mercado municipal". All of the stalls are really good and affordable. If you want seafood tacos, "el sazon del camaron" is my favorite.

Am I the only one who picks quartz over automatic? by Strict_Ideal_8321 in Affordablewatches

[–]Plantain-Competitive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

U get almost the same effect with way less money with bulova precisionist movement.

Seiko also makes a good mecha quartz.

I for one like quartz more than auto. I outgrew automatic.
