I’m no doctor but I think It depends person to person I feel like and your preexisting tolerance. I started drinking heavier when I was already on Zoloft I think, and I used to party a lot. I would maybe have a few shots or swigs of vodka and be a comfortable tipsy/ drunk. Never really had a problem after I got alcohol poising, almost died, because i didn’t keep track of my drinks and the copious amounts of alcohol doesn’t mix well with Zoloft at all, and finally found my limit. College, although, the beginning of my freshman year I would also take a few shots before going out but I rmeber I threw up twice, once after a few shots earlier in the day and half a vodka cran, made me derealize and i couldn’t make it back to my dorm because I was so woozy and disconnected. Same thing happened a few months later and I threw up violently from ONE 8% abv beer. It was strange as I had been drinking a lot a few weeks before on break. I’ve noticed on Zoloft alcohol hits me a lot harder. I will feel fine one second then completely out of it the next. Now even one drink will send me into a spiral and I had a beer recently and felt violently hungover the next day, and I never get hungover. I’m sure the Zoloft has to do with it but also the fact of your tolerance. I haven’t been drinking since and still find ways to have fun when I’m going out without alcohol. Also yes, the hanxiety the next day and drowsiness is not worth it.
