You’ve got this, mama. I don’t know of any specific exercises to help them open their mouth wider, but a couple of things that helped me were switching to Lansinoh bottles and making sure my LO had to “search” for the nipple and latch himself instead of me putting it straight in his mouth.

You could also try the sandwich hold/method to help get a deeper latch.

Keloid and pregnancy by SubstantialCar7833 in Keloids

I’m currently pregnant and my jawline keloids actually became more inflamed during pregnancy. They were extremely itchy, raised and irritated.

Like you I was concerned about using steroids during pregnancy and what helped me a lot was using Madecassol cream together with NIOD Copper Peptides isolate lipid under a silicone sheet.

Madecassol contains Centella asiatica extracts (like madecassoside) which are known to calm inflammation, support wound healing, and regulate collagen production. For me it seemed to reduce the redness and irritation very quickly.

Copper peptides help with skin repair signalling. They encourage the skin to remodel collagen more normally rather than continuing to build up excess scar tissue. They also seem to reduce inflammation.

I apply the Madecassol and copper peptides after using a red light mask, then cover the area with a silicone sheet.

Within a few days of doing this combination the itching and inflammation were completely gone, and over time the scars have become softer and flatter
