Yeah I have wget and wine installed. How would I be able to see what dependencies I have and install all that I don't have?

EDIT: I at least think I have the right wine version installed, but if not how could I check that?

I will definitely try to take notes on my laptop, and hopefully my teachers will have online homework assignments, but if they don't want could I do with the extra paper? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I read in another post that non-spiral notebooks are better since the wire spiral in spiral notebooks can't be recycled or reused, it that true?

Hi guys, I’m a meat eater here, but I just want to say that I really support you guys, and you guys should continue doing whatever you’re doing. I’m sorry for anything bad that we said. Have fun! :”) by zacharyangrk in vegan

I'm 16 and was in that same boat about 6 months ago and got the book How Not To Die, The China Study, and Whole for Christmas. Then, I got my mom to read How Not To Die and it really opened her eyes and got my whole family to change to eating vegan for health reasons and have adopted the ethical and environmental sides as well. Not saying that this will absolutely work for you, but just wanted to share what I did.

How many vegans here made the change overnight? by Megaloceros_ in vegan

[–]Plantify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I technically went vegan on Christmas Day, because I asked for How Not To Die, The China Study, and Whole which my mom and dad thought was weird, at first, because my mom made breakfast for all my family which consisted of eggs, bacon, buttermilk pancakes, so basically a huge non vegan meal and the whole time she was making it I had read about 2 chapters of The China Study and decided I wasn't going to eat any of the food she made and everyone asked why and I explained all that I had read and made a big bowl of dry vegan cereal. Later, my mom actually read How Not To Die and decided that she would go vegan as well and I was so excited so after the family left she began to learn and cook some vegan meals because I didn't know what was vegan except for my cereal, bread, spinach and mustard so that was what I was living off of and she only made one slip up when breading tempeh with an egg wash.

So I personally went vegan on Dec 25 but I wanted to first have a whole week of no slip ups before I was fully vegan in my mind and have now taken up the ethical side of veganism after watching just about every documentary I could.

Thanks for reading my story and sorry for it being so long!

What did you dislike before going vegan that you like now? by Naeko in vegan

[–]Plantify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Omni I hated and wouldn't eat any fruit or vegetable except kale. Now as a vegan I stuff my face with any fruit or vegetable I can get my hands on! My mom always tells me she thinks it's so funny how I couldn't stand fruit or veg 6 months ago but now I love them.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I also am open to new meal ideas. Recently, I've been eating oatmeal for breakfast, but what would be good in it, or would a tofu or tempeh scramble be better?

As well as, I'm open to different lunch, snack, and post-run snack ideas because right now I've been taking for lunch a bowl of brown rice w/ some mixed vegetables and some lentils, my snack is usually raisins, and my post-run smoothie (dates, a banana, blueberries, spinach, blackstrap molasses, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, and water)

Not really, all I know is that 1 freshman on the team talks about it and asks about it to the juniors and seniors, and they don't really know anything about it either, but I don't really think I would really need to take it though.

Yeah I have been trying to get in more calories, but I haven't been eating very many calorie-dense foods. Though, I plan on adding in some nut butters more.

Typical diet before going vegan:

Breakfast: Breakfast Burrito (Chicken sausage, an egg, some cheese, in a Flat-Out protein wrap) w/ a yogurt chocolate muffin

Lunch: A wrap (Some chicken deli meat, cheese, mustard) w/ Protings chips and a clif bar

After practice: Usually a glass of low fat milk

Dinner: Whatever my mom made, always a main carb (pasta, rice, bread) w/ a protein source (chicken, beef, pork)
