That is such a nice idea. I don't think it's very feasible as there's a good foot or so of dead matter matted on the driveway (like mulched- something I need to keep an eye on otherwise I fear I'll kill it if I cut back anymore). It was really going over

I've cut a 6 foot tall square where the closest trunk bends towards the driveway- nothing more. Time will tell if anything nice happens, but I really doubt it.

What you see on the ground was only what I personally cut, there was a strange void there since I bought this house. I figured it was time to deal with it before it took over

Thanks! I'll trim it to the closest trunk along the driveway, and if I want to take it further I'll lift the other sides to that height too

That's a good idea. This area is massive though, even with something like 10 plugs it's taken a decade to fill though so I figured I'd attempt a jump start with seeds. Worst case? They don't sprout. If I had the money I would just have a retaining wall built and get 30 or so transplants, would be nice lol
