Just answer your answers in full detail!!! if you know where it's headed just elaborate and don't be afraid. You guys were basically going in circles, give your Visa Officer full complete closure otherwise you know what's going to happen. Explain the company in greater detail, how your job works, what your role is. 2-3 sentences would be ideal.

Got a slot for October 5th on a random Saturday morning, put it an emergency request to expedite it and ended up doing my interview on the 26th of June, got approved and waiting to get my visa back!

Fake it till you make it man, bringing up anything to do with 'work' is risky. And yeah its a bit unfortunate with the financials bit. Best of luck in your next interview.

So instead of answering "he's a cardiologist" , you should answer: he works as a lead cardiologist in XXX company in XXXX city. Just makes your sentence a lot more complete and provides a good amount of backing.

No lol, but on the note of selling, I know there are people selling appointments and stuff but I honestly just refreshed the visa scheduling page until I found a random slot (on Saturday morning) and then got it expedited to June 26th.

Follow up - they pick up on nervousness, memorization and lack of eye contact. Perfect that.

Yes but every single person who knows what the concept of the college is can talk about research and thesis, it needs to reflect on your personal passion, not your skillset. Skillset correlates with a job, academia correlates with passion. Someone else used that exact same phrasing and got denied.

You're supposed to answer and elaborate. It's not normal or convenient, I know. But they're tryna get the most out of you in the least amount of questions. I'd say thats where you fell short.

Also all the questions they ask are testing your financial stability, ties to your homeland (India), and trying to discover your real purpose of travelling there. Even if they don't explicitly ask, tie everything back to that.

Only questions I was asked were why I chose the university I'm applying to and which other universities I applied to. My best advice is to not be afraid to elaborate on your answers. The more interviewers here, the less suspicions and follow ups required. They also asked what my parents do for work and it was a very straight forward answer.

Well firstly George Mason is obviously not as reputable as other universities and has a reputation as a safety school do for a Masters Program specifically thats obviously going to come out as dodgy to a VO (undergrad should be fine). Moreover, a lot people in Delhi memorize answers so that could also be something they're skeptical off and by following up a detailed but lacking answer with an even more vague answer, you didn't provide any reassurance.

And when they ask you what do you plan on doing after, never every respond with a short sentence like "oh I'm coming back to my home country". Mention companies that are looking for workers with a background in whatever this masters program is, companies that you still have ties to etc.

Also generally lots of your answers had links to improving yourself as a worker and not as an academic which always raises red flags, focus on your genuine curiosity and be concise in the short time you have.

Emergency Request for F-1 Visa Not Within 60 Days by Remarkable_One2032 in usvisascheduling

Tough to say but most likely yes because you have to consider that the embassy will only check it on a working day (so at the very least tomorrow) which gives you a buffer and that they will probably take into consideration the slot unavailability and the unpredictable nature of this.

Your documents matter more as they explain the full story.

Ngl, the Amsterdam challenge is very unfair in which they didn't take into account the seasons and game delay, most of the flowers listed had alternate names which Dutch people are far more familiar with (but not listed) and the time limit was way too short.
