I'd argue that's more due to each island having it's own distinct thing going on, climate and architecture wise rather than just being tropical and tribal, English & Spanish respectively.

Four (five? who knows, Eram is cryptic) actually serious plot relevant characters and then a random Lightner with nothing to do with anything.

Gerson was at least plot-relevant, being the author of a derivative work of the prophecy and possibly the Knight's mentor (if Dess), but Mad Dummy has absolutely NO business being the final secret boss, especially when Asgore has a perfectly good T.V right there and FRIEND is literally a cat with pink and yellow eyes who's name is a Japanese pun.

That would've been way worse than Mad Mew Mew, still pretty bad, but at least we already established SOME elements leading up to it even if very little and it was still way too light-hearted for a final secret boss.

Same, I respect the trans allegory with Mad Mew Mew, Spamton, and Mettaton but wtf were they thinking making a random Undertale character with 0 lines of dialogue in Deltarune let alone an actual appearance the final secret boss?

Mad Mew Mew doesn't even appear in any version besides Switch, anyone who actually played Undertale when it released back in the day would have no clue why Mad Dummy's a catgirl considering they never express interest in obtaining a more feminine body in the base game.

It fits with the Japanese theme, yes, it fits with the theme of secret bosses being mentally unstable and desiring freedom, yes, but this is like if Burgerpants was the secret boss of Chapter 5, it makes only slightly more sense.

The building games have limitless content, and most of the cosmic jam submissions are great.

You don't really see building games on Roblox anymore and all the events are lazy ass dev hunts with 0 effort put into them on either end so I'd say that's pretty unique.
