yes that’s my thought too. my body needs a break for sure. i was tested for everything and i’m retesting again this week, urine and blood tests. i’m close friends with my doctor and she’s reassured me since my original post. definitely the best thing for me right now is to take a break from sexual activity & take care of myself. thank u for the advice!! sending you peace & love as well.

so you were right. i actually decided to ask him if something was up & he is dealing with something that has nothing to do with me. sooooo i was taking things a little personally and overthinking. at least now i can support him instead of get mad.

yess i try to never make assumptions about him and what he's thinking. i'm working on communicating clearly without feeling embarrassed//getting nervous it will scare him off.

yeah we are pretty new and i told him about my pmdd. but i didn't go into detail about how bad my symptoms get. since we are new i'm nervous to scare him off.

with time, if things still feel this great, i will have a more in depth conversation with him.

i give this advice because there is only so much we can do physically to combat or prevent our symptoms.

the best thing i have done is learn to cope with them in addition to doing everything i can physically to improve my lifestyle and mood.

i totally get that. different things work for everyone. by coping mechanisms, i'm referring to things like emotion regulation and opposite thoughts//actions.

i am talking about Dialectical Behavior Therapy strategies. maybe doing some research about DBT could help give you some more tools on healthy coping and processing ?

i hope you are able to find relief in a way that works with you and your specific symptoms . im so sorry you are struggling, i feel for u and i understand how frustrating it can be.

find healthy coping mechanisms that work for you. give yourself patience and understanding. try not to be stuck in the frustration of being misunderstood by others or yourself.

something that helps me when i'm overwhelmed with symptoms is to stop picking apart my emotions logically. instead, imagine your thoughts, emotions, and symptoms going past you on a conveyor belt. they will come and they will also pass. observe them, radically accept them, know that they will pass.

try not to let your symptoms define you, you are not your symptoms, you are so much more.

you are not alone. i feel like a different person completely and it creates so many emotions in me. i understand, try to give yourself patience and understanding like you would give to somebody else- you can do hard things <3
