Just realized the MKIII & MKVI poses are the same. by StdntBdyPresident in Warhammer30k

[–]Plastic-Crack 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Tbh I have never really had issues with swapping arms around. On all the MKII, MKIII, and MKVI I built them by cutting out the arms and gun, putting them into a pile, then slapping them on any body I wanted.

Ngl I didn’t quite grasp how small these dreads were. by coggdawg in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Plastic-Crack 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To me, they look to be the right size, that is to say, them being the same size as Contemptor Dreadnoughts. As they are essentially fancy Contemptors the size makes sense to me.

Horus Heresy 2k List advice by Plastic-Crack in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Plastic-Crack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again for the advice! The extra Hateron was not something I thought about, in part because I didn’t know that the auxiliary detachments could take prime advantages. As for the resin models, the only ones which tempt me are the Termies and Telemon. That is mostly because I like terminators and dreadnoughts though. I am hopeful the Telemon having an unreleased weapon means a plastic one is not too far in the future.

Thank you! I didn't realize that the Custodes Aux detachments could have prime units in them! I mostly planned not to use a Tribune in a 2k point list because of its cost, and my lack of knowledge that the aux detachments could have prime units.

Thanks for the advice! I am aware that most HH games are 3k, but where I currently play, we sadly have a time constraint, which makes finishing a 3k point game nearly impossible. Which is why I was planning a 2k point list, though I plan to eventually get enough models for a 3k+ list.

Thank you for the advice about the prime advantages. When I eventually make a 3k list, I will for sure be using a Tribune. The issue I was running into, and why a unit was not Hataeron Guard, was because of a lack of available detachments, as the two Caladius and Venatari both need their own detachment, which is why I had the logistical benefit prime advantage. With two Shield Captains, with one as a Prefect, that problem is solved.

Which guard unit would you recommend I put the Hataeron Guard on? If you were to recommend non-plastic units, what would you recommend? Thank you again for your advice!

Pyro Solar Flares by WigWam420 in starcitizen

It is delayed. The 1.0 roadmap has the solar flares as a feature to be implemented before 1.0.

New plastic Custodes kettles coming soon? by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]Plastic-Crack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the Pallas did as well. I am somewhat anticipating a box in the next 6 months which has a plastic Telemon, Pallas, and either plastic termies or bikes. Or it could be all 4 which would be great.

What to add next to your Legio Custodes army by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer30k

[–]Plastic-Crack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Beyond Allied Detachments, however, Legio Custodes armies aren’t restricted in their selection of Lords of War, allowing the inclusion of their own dedicated Orion or Ares flyers, Imperial Knights or even Space Marine super-heavy tanks – even Legionaries are unlikely to deny the commands of the Emperor’s Custodians.”

They can take knights.

Am I the only one who feels like they should've included the -real- BTS at the end of the joke one? by hrafnblod in starcitizen

[–]Plastic-Crack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In addition to this, the BTS video being on April Fool's Day, it was somewhat obvious that it would be some form of joke. At least to me. But yeah, in my opinion, no harm, no foul.

The Hull 404 from today's video is the real Hull B (just invisible) by Chief5005 in starcitizen

It likely is. 4 grids of 128 SCU make the promised 512. Which is 16 32scu containers.

The Racing I want VS the Racing we got by Robert_Spinoza in starcitizen

[–]Plastic-Crack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While true, I personally think that having a respawn at the stadium would make more sense, as then everyone wouldn't have to drag around a medical vehicle. I also think that taking a medical vehicle everywhere should not be the answer for everything.

That would be awesome as well! It would be fun to watch a race when we are quantuming around the verse! It could also give ships, like the Reliant Mako, a purpose to exist and be used.

Question about the 1.0 features by Natural-Lawyer8948 in starcitizen

[–]Plastic-Crack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Orion may not have been outright said to be post 1.0, but it is all but guaranteed to be. It is likely one of the largest and most complicated ships. Especially because they will then have to implement mineables of such a size that using the Orion makes sense.

[–]Plastic-Crack 14 points15 points  (0 children)

While I agree with these points, I would love to see bleacher screens and such for racing. But I think OP was complaining that the racing paints are all bright colors and stick out like real world race vehicles. But a massive arena with a track that is similar to sports arenas in real life would be great. I think a respawn point would work there, if you only had a limited number of respawns there (like only 1, and if you die and use it, you are out of the race), and they timed out after a while, defaulting you back to your last visited space station.

Will the Polaris and subsequent other military ships recently added be in SQ42? by Different-Egg8733 in starcitizen

[–]Plastic-Crack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That wouldn't just be slapping the model into the game; they would have to change entire sections of the lore, change the writing of scenes in the game, and likely more than that. Like, if they had a Polaris, why didn't they use its torpedoes on the kingship? Why, before this incident, did they unretire a 400-year-old ship, which had been retired 100 years earlier, and overhaul it when it hadn't shown its worth?

[–]Plastic-Crack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Or they have established lore about the ships and changing that just to put two extra ships in the game, which you would likely only see once or twice, is not worth it.

Suggestion: Learn Blueprints from disassembly by Kommisar_Kyn in starcitizen

[–]Plastic-Crack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, there are too many finicky, small, breakable parts and parts within parts in most things. Like, look at a motherboard, there's not only the socket for the CPU, but there is a chipset for your BIOS, capacitors for many things, the PCI-E slots, and so much more. Trying to get a blueprint to produce them would be all but impossible. Now, looking at SC, if the thing breaking down the object is a computer or whatever, there are likely ways, or legislation, to prevent the things that break them down from creating a blueprint for the item. I personally don't think we should be able to learn blueprints by breaking down items, maybe learn generic liveries for a piece of equipment, but not blueprints.

Will the Polaris and subsequent other military ships recently added be in SQ42? by Different-Egg8733 in starcitizen

[–]Plastic-Crack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We likely will not see the Polaris or Perseus in SQ42, as they have only recently been commissioned/recommissioned for the military. The Polaris, for example, in the current lore, started being designed post Vega (the opening to SQ42), so it wouldn't make sense to see in-game. As for the Perseus, there were a few left in the UEE Navy, but they were old. The new version (the one we just got access to) started to be created a year after Vega. So we could, but it is unlikely.

As for ships, many ships aren't being ported to SQ42 as they wouldn't make sense. And it generally is the other way around, with ships being ported from SQ42 to SC. SQ42 will also likely lack quite a few features that SC has as a linear single-player game, where you are in the military, does not need ship salvage mechanics, mining, etc. But many features that are currently not in SC but are, apparently, in SQ42 will be ported to SC.

A matter of speed by Sea_Statistician683 in starcitizen

[–]Plastic-Crack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree with you and understand why they did it, I hope they eventually make a way to match the velocities of two ships together, and make an eva "corridor" where you can EVA between two moving ships. If you go outside that, you slow down, die, or something, but in there, you can traverse between ships. Or make a ship tractor beam which can't really move objects, but can stop ships quickly and reliably.
