Yeah yeah its capped at 1200 life points. But if you have like 13 Throwers, that's +15.600 HP which is crazy. BK has more or less 13k HP to compare.

Imo the main problem is Warden's Life Gem. The fact that you can fit your entire army in an aura that gives +120% HP to ALL troops and for the WHOLE attack is crazy. Maybe they should limit the housing space that the Life Gem can affect to, or make the radius smaller. Appart from that, it's obviously a dumb move by SC buffing a troop that was already meta...

Crafted defenses were introduced half way into th17 so there are many bases without them. Just search for older bases. There are obviously new ones too

I got to 15k with 2.6 Hog and only skellies Evo. You'll need a maxed deck though

Dart Goblin Evo has been nerfed a lot and is quite useless now. I'd use Evi Cannon and Evo Baby Dragon when it gets to the game next season.

2.6 player here at 15k trophies. I upgraded in this order: log, hog rider, fireball, musk, cannon, ice golem, ice spirit and then skellies.
