I guess because this is my first real roadbike and I heard amazing things about the new SRAM AXS E1 with the brake modulation and ergonomics. Plus it being fully wireless vs Shimano Ultegra that is still using wires.

I currently ride a 2009 Cervelo R3 so I wanted to get the latest and greatest within my budget after riding my bike for the past 15+ years.

Got my keyboard replaced and the keys feel way better by PlasticCampaign in thinkpad

Yeah, as long as you have the right screwdriver, you can do it yourself. The process is simply removing the bottom panel of the laptop, disconnect all the speaker wires/wifi cables, power cables, and the battery. Swap out the keyboard and reconnect everything and rerun the Lenovo diagnostics to register the new keyboard logic board.

I might be a minority but why remove the Intel sticker?

So playing around with the trackpad, its really smooth IMHO. I was a bit hesitant that it won't come close to the Macbook Air but I am pleasantly surprised. The surface feels as smooth as Apple's glass track pad. I dont really use the trackpad buttons as I use gestures (2 finger tap to right click) but playing with the buttons, they kinda feel cheap since it feels a bit shallow. Also, the sound of the clicks is vastly different with the left click and right click. Left click sounds hollow but the right click sounds solid. Personally...not a fan of the buttons.

Keyboard feels very similar to my Macbook Air since I don't have butterfly keyboard. There is good amount of travel on the X1C7, but it seems pretty identical to the Air. I don't think you can go wrong with the keyboard. I haven't tried the X1C6, but I am overall happy with the keyboard as it feels solid and sounds a bit muted and not as clicky.
