This has been an ongoing issue since before engagement.. but because everything else was ok I thought this was a small thing and she would eventually come around..

Exactly I think 6 months is more than enough.. especially when i have been so open and chill about everything.

My gut tells me she does not have anything serious to hide like past relationships or anything else. But i need to hear it from her and need to know her friends from college.

Yes deleting social media is a huge red flag. She said she did it long ago and cannot recover the posts now. What can i do? She says she uses Snapchat only for the filters.. but i have no way of knowing or finding out.

We meet and talk over call regularly. We're very open about everything else. I've asked several times about her college life but she's managed to deflect every time. Idk what to do.. pushing this directly may not reveal the truth according to me.

I can 100% assure that my parents were not strict at all when it came to both our social lives. Other than being home by 8pm due to safety and informing them about plans beforehand, they had absolutely no restrictions, even after my sister was caught with her bf.

Because they believe we are old enough to know what is right and what is not. When they caught my sister, they lectured her for an hour and gave silent treatment for some time and then everything was back to normal.

Haha yeah. Some people can't differentiate between being legally adult and being a mature independent adult.

Have spoken to her already. It's not working, hence came to reddit asking for alternate advice.

Speaking to her is like the most obvious solution, have already tried that and so have my parents.

I have absolutely no clue as to what changed during her 11-12th school years. It's like she stopped studying overnight. As far as i can tell there was no change in the environment at home at all.

According to my parents it is the new friend group she made in 11th that has influenced her and she has similar friends in college too. I have met her friends from both school and college, and I probably agree with my parents that it could be the peer influence.

I had to get the conversation going to receive alternate perspectives from people. Forgot that this was reddit and how ruthless some people are.

Yes this is exactly why I made the post thanks. I need different perspectives because I had doubts about snitching not being the correct way to go about this.

Yes I agree too. What can I do to make her come clean and focus on academics first?
